Looks like 10%, $10 off $50, $15 off $50, and $20 off $100 coupons are live again. Somehow 10% gets automatically applied to any order I place at Lowes.com. Is it some internal bug? :dunno:

If you have a Military designation on your MyLowes account (half to set up in store), I know that gives the 10% online. I know they screwed up when my Dad registered, so if you didn't register for that, maybe they mistakenly applied it to your account (hard to imagine as it is tied to email & phone # though)

This just started happening to MyLowes account after they held their 10% sales promo for all MyLowes members. What happens if you return an item to the store? Are these promotional codes reusable afterwards?

If you return and make the next purchase right there they usually will give y you the 10% if you ask.

I picked up this very nice Bosch kit. One store near me had it at about $25! Good luck!

I am worried that inputting skus in brickseek alerts a select group of people about the deals which are then scooped up. Happened to me this last week on an item that had been sitting stashed away in inventory for over a year. A couple hours after I found it, I went to purchase and saw it being carried out of the store by someone else. What are the chances?

I used to be a premium brickseek member. I'll tell you how this pyramid scheme works:

1. Free users search their website or post deals on their fb page
2. They delay releasing the posts on fb for a couple of days, and instead post the deals on a private forum only premium members can access. So if you post a deal on their fb page, you wont see it for 2 days. Meanwhile premium members will be buying up all the inventory of the item.
3. Every time you search brickseek.com for an item they track it. If all of a sudden they see a surge in people searching for an item, this shows up in a "popular deal" section that is only available to premium members. Again, they will see what is popular and buy up all the local inventory to resell, before you even hear of the deal.
4. They also have an extreme premium membership that gives you a list of all the deals in one handy page. This is great for resellers because you can go to a store and see all the deals in one handy page and buy everything up.

So I think of it as a pyramid scheme - the free users search or submit the deals - those are funneled up to paying premium members - and those deals are funneled up to paying extreme premium memberships who are mostly resellers. The people at the top - extreme premium members - get all the deals first. The people at the bottom - free, normal users, rarely find deals because by the time they hear about a deal, the premium members have already ransacked all the local stores.

So the short answer is never search bs, especially for lowes items. It is very easy using lowes website to see what all the local stores have in stock. If you search brickseek all you are doing is helping the resellers who pay for a premium membership to buy everything near you.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected about brickseek!

I was so deflated when I showed up at the Lowes only to see my golden find being walked out of the door. Never again! I'm not a reseller - just a poor guy looking to stock up my house and toolboxes with nice stuff for cheap.

You have me beat. I got this for only $27 ;) In case anyone is curious, this set is being replaced by this - > https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-4-Tool-18-volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit/1000249817 , which is currently $229. It looks like the saw and flashlight are being replaced by cheaper versions? The old set might be better quality - can anyone confirm which set would be better just from a quality perspective?

I'm fully invested in the Bosch system, but I don't have the new reciprocating saw. But based on reviews, it is as effective as the larger version - just in a more compact package. It does look more comfortable to use.

The newer kit has an updated version of the drill driver (DDS181 vs. DDS181A), but the difference is negligible IMO (I've owned both). The newer driver is supposed to be higher quality (with an all metal chuck) and slightly lighter. I don't think there has been reports of the previous driver's chuck giving any problems.

The new light is a definite downgrade! The old kit's light is a worklight, whereas the new kit is a flashlight. Who needs an 18V flashlight? And believe it or not, the new kit's flashlight is NOT LED lol! The old kit's worklight is really nice, and makes a great emergency light (as long as you keep your 18V batteries charged, which I do).

$27 is an absolute steal!

For what it's worth I looked at the saws in person. The older one is bigger and is $99. The newer one is smaller and $119. So they seem very similar

Clearance on most (?) Goldblatt drywall tools - knives, corner trowels, pans, sanders, etc. I got lots at 75% off or more. For example:

Regular $19.99
Somes stores have it for as low as ~$1.00
9-inch pole head sander

Looks like most of the clearance pricing does not show the "save x%" on the website, so you won't know the regular price unless you are looking in-store. My store has them all set up on an end cap so it is easy to see everything on clearance.

Thanks for the post, just grabbed a GB hawk for ~$3 along with some other knives and a 78" Stanley level for 25.

Here are some quality levels for 75% off. I think they are no longer on lowes website so people will miss these

the lowes by me were selling the Johnson 24 and 48 inch levels for pennies.

I picked up two 24 inch levels for for like 5 bucks total.

I took this photo to another lowes and they were able to "price match" a single level at 7 dollars for me.

Good job. It's always worth a shot to see if they'll price match another store.

Be sure to check the quality of the level before you purchase. I've seen some with bubbles that were WAY smaller than the marks in the sight glass (instead of the bubble being just a hair smaller the width of the marks)... So you are kind of having to center the bubble between the marks and guess when it's truly level...

I guess if you want one just to throw in the back of your truck you can't go wrong.

most of the Kobalt flex head ratcheting wrenches are 75% off around here. I was able to piece together both metric (8-18mm) and SAE (5/16-13/16) for less than 75 bucks. All made in Taiwan, comparable to Gearwrench quality, maybe even better. I am very happy with these considering Kobalt's no hassle replacement at Lowes.

Also they have combo wrench sets with pouch on sale. A small size set and a medium size set. They are both about $10, after some 15 off 50 coupons I got them for less than $15 combined. These are made in China, definitely lower quality, the shaft is not even straight on the 13/16 wrench. However, they are absolutely perfect in the car/truck/boat. Decent chrome.

edit: just examined the combo wrench set. Only the 13/16 has slightly deformed shaft. All others are perfect. Quite impressed. Next time at Lowes I will get the 13/16 exchanged for free.
