Edit: is it possible to get a update pictures of the office with the new items. Thanks

It's constantly evolving, but here are a few of the most current pics I've taken. Also picked up a couple new cans this week. One at Iowa Gas and one at the What Cheer flea market.

I was able to obtain a book on the history of the town that was printed in 1962, One interesting thing pertaining to this property is all the service stations open at the time were listed in the book. So sometime between 1957 and 1962 the ownership of this station changed and went from Nath's Sovereign Service to Kieth's Service (which I have posted the pic of) and the owner was Kieth Warner.

Working on a few things for the wall. I designed a gas price sign and had my sign lady make it. Once I got it I whipped up a quick wood frame for it.

I had some wood outdoor letters cut in a font as close to the original Sinclair lettering at the time as I could get. Spent some time fine tuning the letters to get them as close as I can to the originals. Only the Sinclair letters were done at the time I took this pic.

The 12 inch Sinclair letters will be hung on upper portion of the wall close to the building. The Perry Oil Co will above the arched office door and the rest will be going above garage doors.

The annual Friday night car show was Friday and a few stopped by for some pics. I know the owner of this old T hot rod so I was able to get the pics they took.

I'm looking forward to seeing those letters painted and hung on the building. I take it you know someone with a CNC router who was able to make them?

Very nice. Maybe some movie location scouts will learn about your place and use it as a movie set.

Maybe you need some of the plastic flags that hang outside or in. They have them for tires, oil, and lots of other advertising and maybe even Sinclair? Shop is looking very period correct, and cool.

Or even the strings of plastic flags you put across the drive. I used to hate those, constant flapping all day long. But they do draw attention

Joe, the place is looking better & better!

One thought...you might try some cardboard inserts between the pages of your Hot Rod magazines, to hopefully prevent them from "slouching" as much in their rack.

Good idea

Some progress on my Sinclair letters. A fellow local Sinclair collector stopped by the shop and as we were talking about the letters he brought up maybe fiberglassing them. I thought about it for a second and was like yeah I should. So a lot of sanding and two coats of fiberglass resin later they were done. I painted the letters yesterday and assembled it this evening.

Sign looks fantastic. I have been following you on Instagram. I like getting a sneak peek at your projects before you post them up on here.

I just had a scary thought. I'm not sure what your intentions are for that very nice Sinclair sign you just made, but I just checked, and that corporation still exists, and as such probably has trademarks and copyrights on all that stuff. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't have a clue how that affects your little museum, but if I were you I would find out before displaying it publicly.

Might be one of those "easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission" situations...

It doesn't seem to bother them on Instagram. They have liked several pics I've posted. For what I'm doing I don't think it'll be an issue, its not like I'm selling signs for profit.

I put the sign up this morning. I just ordered a 5ft vertical Auto-Lite batteries sign that will hang kind of close to the building under the Sinclair letters. I am in the market for a 6 foot tall Sinclair Dinosaur. I see one advertised in Texas right now, but would like to find one maybe a little closer. If anybody comes across one shoot me a message I'd appreciate it.

I came across this Power X ad today and I'm thinking of having a billboard style sign (4'x6' ???) made to hang in the middle of the wall.

^Looks great! I may have missed it, but will you be planning to have some spotlights on the wall signage?

Your building has turned out Fantastic. I've had a Sinclair fetish since 1964 when my parents returned from the Worlds Fair in NYC with a green plastic Sinclair dinosaur. I'm 60 now and they are both gone but that dinosaur always brings a smile to my face.

Yes, companies frown on using their logos for personal profit.
Great idea on the Power X sign. Looks like there's a place at the bottom to add the station's name.

They make the Dino's out of fiberglass. They were selling for around $1200.

Those are the smaller 4ft ones. Some are fiberglass some are aluminium. I've seen them selling for anywhere from 500 to 1500. I'm after the bigger 6 foot tall one. It's like a lot of things they're everywhere till you want to buy one.

Yikes!!! for that much cash I think I'd learn how to make one myself.

With your metal working skills I bet you could take a smaller toy version as a model and enlarge it to your needs. And we certainly know you can paint it to look correct.

They might not be as gone as you think. I'm 42, and I was unaware the company was still operational at all.
