Ok, not gonna lie, I may have run a beer through it, but it was to test my work so I could stand behind my work.

Discovered that the 3 wheel bandsaw I borrowed had a blade, but no drive belt. Found that none of the suppliers nearby have a belt this small, so wondered about making a belt. Tried heat welding some 6mm vinyl (hospital) oxygen tube....wouldn't weld. Tried some 3mm whipper snipper line, worked really well. Stood a piece of old hacksaw blade in the vyce, heated it red hot with a little butane gun, put the burner aside, rubbed the plastic on each side of the still hot blade, then slid the melted ends together, held them for a few minutes to set. Cleaned up the ridge on the bench grinder. Lasted about 15 minutes on the saw before it broke, repeated the weld, lasted about 30 seconds, repeated the weld and it's now held for about 5 mins to the end of the job. Also tried some 5mm camping twine, braided polyester stuff, joined with heatshrink tube, worked for a few seconds, then the heatshrink that was between the ends of the cord stretched, lost tension. slipped and wouldn't drive.

After lots of scraping between rainstorms, framing the door openings, putting 2X2 frames on the doors to try to take the warp out of them, trimming them so they fit the openings and priming both gables with Kilz primer, I put a coat of paint on the north side gable. Tomorrow if weather allows, I'll paint the other one.

Yes, great idea. I have a back section that I rarely use in the winter as well, so closing it off sounds great. I even have left over clothes line !

Thanks guys, I do wish I would have tried using ty-raps (zip ties) rather than weaving the cable through the eyelets. It would make it a lot easier to remove the curtain if needed.

I really can't believe the difference it makes, the other side of the curtain is at least 10 degrees warmer than the workshop side. I heat with a 5000 watt heater and it gets expensive in the winter, looking forward to the difference it makes.

put down rustoleum epoxyshield on the other half of the garage. along with the highgloss topcoat. They really should include and additive that makes it go on "opaque" or something so you can better see the coverage. Or in my case the lack of coverage. I missed 2 spots that I only noticed after it dried.

New garage doors today. Came home from work to find the garage doors put on my new pole barn-garage. That's a nice surprise.

Dug and formed a 20X4 walkway to the man-door. Also formed up a 2X3 slab for the garage heat pump to sit on when it get installed - hopefully before the coming of the next ice age. The concrete will be poured next week.

On the build of my new pole barn garage, the final pieces of siding were put on, the floor had saw cuts made and some grinding for better garage door fit, the final interior bracing was put in and the grading was done around the building. I've ordered a final inspection for tomorrow so hoping that passes.

Got the rubber roofing on the tractor shed lean to and parked something under it. Still have trim work to do and the gravel floor, but not bad for a month of weekend work.

Not today, but a couple of days ago between storms. I scraped, sanded, primed and painted the fascia to match the gables I previously painted. Next in line is the concrete blocks. I will probably go with a lighter grey than on the gables.

I cleaned up half of it and put some tools together that have been sitting in their box for years. Weld cart and a trans jack. Added some square footage of free space then took it back away.

Made a 2.5' x 8.5' concrete pad for the trash, recycling and yard waste containers. Was turning into a mud pit during the wet seasons. 10x 60lb bags = sore shoulders when mixing in a wheel barrow.

Last night I hauled the remainder of the stuff out of the basement and stacked it up in the shop so I can start putting the last of it away. I now have about 10 boxes of supplies and/or tools stacked around inside that look hideous and need to be properly organized.

I also removed the locks from the three four-drawer filing cabinets that I purchase about six months ago. I figured those would work great for storing welding and machining supplies in so they are easily accessible.

Fitted the air and power reels in the "new" shop (have to attach the cable and air line to the wall).

Compressor is standing right under the reel so saves piping work until I have more time to make the nice solution.

A then there was light:

Local "Home Depot" had nice LED fixtures on sale (240V 45W) so I bit the bullet and bought 8 of them. Connected them In 2 groups (Left and right side together and the middle 4 ones together). So I can have good light if I just need to do a normal job in the shop and VERY GOOD light if I want to do a job requiring more light (like the electrics on the Alfa which I have to tidy up now urgent).
Please do not look at the mess.

Ordered steel for my bench and some shelves I am going to build. Need to get 220 installed so I can use my welder and compressor along with additional 110 outlets, the new gararge only has one per wall!
