This belongs to a friend, I am sorting through the contents to see what may be of value, and evaluating the box itself too. The box is pretty used, but is still cool. The drawers have metal runners that fit into metal slides on the sides of the box. Can't find a part number.

Hey look at that! A Kennedy I'd take a second look at, sweet!![]()
I was thinking that exact thing but didn't want to poke the bear [emoji16][emoji23][emoji38]

I had a good day today, bumbling around.
I found this tool box with a few odds and ends in it at an estate sale. At the same place I found a vintage 1955-1959 Craftsman metal lathe, the small hobby size. And I found a saw tooth flattening file jig. All new to me in the wild. All came home with me.
Here's the tool cabinet, one of the first Snap-On made. This one included the drawer cover and the cabinet key. I'll have to fabricate one of the cover hold down tab's. And one 1/4" bolt / square nut needs to be replaced

Wow, very cool. I have the top box but I'd love to find that roller!! Nice grab!
Todd,
Does your box have the front drawer cover?

Yes sir, here is the thread on the find. Mine may be a couple years newer but same exact style really.
Same logo on the front cover. Yours came with a lot more tools. Only Snap-On in mine was a 9/16" socket (brazed to a weird fabbed up "X" and a set of vacuum grip pliers. There were a couple of bonney thin DOEs and a 7/16" drive nuggie.
I figure this was 37 or 38 vintage. The '36 catalog didn't offer the cabinet panels yet, and by '39 the legs angled away from the box a couple of inches. So probably late 30's manufacturer.

Heres a Proto box I found at the big flea for $5 yesterday. Im wondering what do you guys use to try and bring the paint back as far as you can ?
Can't really answer your question but that's an awesome find and very worthy of a "You ****!". Congrats!
