Boards are 1/2" thick, with the yellow organizer in place total height is 1 1/2". In the photo my 1/2" dr ratchet sits about 1/2" above the board at the handle end. You can see in the photo that the clips on the 1/2" are facing opposite of each other; the handle end is snug but the end near the head is a bit loose. The 3/8" dr ratchets have their clips facing the same way so there's better retention on them.

The clips are held in place by inserting them and giving them a 1/4 turn so they lock in place.
Not bad for the price. Definitely a less expensive alternative to Matco's system.

Thanks for the info, I have been considering some for a few tools that I just don't have a good solution for.

Got these today. Smooth jaw.

I have them, I think you will like them at least as much as me. :)

Received my Steelman Pro Flex Head 18" ratchet from Amazon. Someone posted it was on sale for $22.38 so I grabbed one. Now it's $74.54. This seems like it's a very good quality product. Can't wait to use it.

New load of Gearwrench I bought. Display racks included.

]

WC, that's awesome and all but how are you planning on displaying all those tools and ever using them?. You gonna modify the boards / hangers?.

But even when you cross that road and all though it will look cool as all get out, man those will eat up some serious wall space. You know you're gonna have to share some pictures off all that completed.

One of my ebay scores showed up. The 1/4" version should be here this afternoon. First set of hard handles!

Ut ohhhh, someone popped their cherry at harbor freight

Where ya at in the states?

Sure did, loved it, might have to go back before we go home, not sure what for yet though 😂

This lot is from HF, HD and Lowes, think I've got a few kg left in my allowance too so might get a bare Milwaukee jigsaw, it's a lot cheaper over here.

We've in a few places Boston, New Hampshire, New England, currently in Bar Harbor, Portsmouth is next then back to Boston to fly home.

That's awesome, I hope you had a great trip. Not to derail too far. But what happens once you get home, do you have to pay duty tax on all that?

A couple packages from Amazon showed up today. The one from Germany had a Gedore ratcheting wrench set and a Stahlwille 1/2" ratchet (512QRN). The one from the US had a Makita impact wrench. I've only tried out the Makita so far, but it's pretty damn nice.

A little OT, but how does the foliage look up there? We are heading to the NE a week from Saturday. I know that we will miss a bunch, but hoping that some of the foliage will hold on...

Yeah great trip thanks, stunning day today in Bar Harbor too.
Strictly yes you should pay import tax on it and then 20% VAT on top of that. Not everyone does that though.

North Conway and around Mount Washington were good, it's probably half red half green at the moment.
Flume Gorge was very good, I'm guessing that the bits we've seen very good might not be as good for you, but the weather hasn't broken here yet, still pretty hot, no frosts yet.

I'm already using my RWM casters convertible hand trucks that arrived recently. This thing is business. Those cribbing blocks are solid/heavy and I used to carry from my outbuilding I can now set on hand trucks and roll them to my garage.

Looked at the VIM set. The 4in would have been nice but couldn't justify the price. Someday I'll pickup a set of 4in SK.15bf14c382ffeaf5cc84cfa2aed68c6a.jpg

Was just up a couple weeks ago. If my damn Cylinder Head Temp sensor, didn't randomly start causing false overheat situations, I would be now. Love the White Mountains.

It's some kind of trim cutter for smaller wood. Was thinking picture frames but it doesn't have a 45 degree alignment.

EDIT: After looking at it again it's hard to tell with the handle in the way but it looks like those side plates may be adjustable to 45" angles. Can kind of see a track for it to move in. If so I'm going with picture frame trimmer. Look what I just found, http://www.rockler.com/miter-trimme...HjS1kCxVV_d21o3L7A1n5WW9vSYVqWixoCYCgQAvD_BwE
