Let's see what you guys have made in one or two days. I looked at some of these projects and tell it took a couple weeks to do or longer. Let's see the projects you guys have started and finished in a couple days. I understand you might not have done it 2 days in a row but just looking for stuff that didn't take long to accomplish.

I built the front bumper and rock sliders for my Cherokee in about two days each. No pics handy though. 16 hours is a good amount of time (assuming you mean work days, not 2 calendar days).

Easy- welding cart. Should be on every welders list.

Fab table, firewood rack, long materials rack for the shop (cantilevered wall mount), material supports, vise stand.

Thats a mix of stuff I need to do and already have done.

Here are a few pictures of the front bumper for my Jeep JKU that I built about 6 years ago. Took me a Friday night and Saturday to fabricate then about a week to get it back from the powder coater.

Here is a link to the entire thread that I had for it. I don't think I have a thread or the rear bumper.

Lots of other welding/fabrication projects as well which took two days or less but this is one of the ones I had documented.

That bumper is nice. Wish I could find the time to do some stuff like that. But it is more my skill of welding *****

I built this roof rack using 1" square tubing for a friend's Jeep in one day:

Just finished this hairpin-leg coffee table. I think it took 2 nights in the shop.

I agree with the 'make a welding table first.' Then, make a cart for your welder. These two things will give you some practice in fabricating, fitting, tacking and welding--then make it MUCH easier to complete your next projects.

I started with a VERY small welding table, since I only had a half a garage for the shop at that time and I usually dragged this table onto the patio to work. I also tend to work on smaller projects.

There isn't much welding in this table, but I do like the slat design, for clamping. The base is something I purchased from an industrial furniture sale. It would not be too hard to weld together a similar base.

I made a stand for my vertical portaband and roll a round base for the HF tubing bender and 16 ton pipe bender. Did a upright receiver hitch multi use setup. Drop in vise, ring roller, shear, or whatever.

Here's another one of mine. A gate for my deck to keep the dogs in. Used 1" square tubing, 1/2" EMT, and some left over 1.75" DOM roll bar tubing.

That bumper is sweet. I thinking I may cut off the tube/pipe ones off my bronco and build similar. LED light pods to illuminate the sides of the trails we hit in addition to the light bar that's up top. Rear could be similar too.

When I bought my first welder, my wife asked why I needed a welder. (I am a computer guy by profession) I said "how else am I supposed to build a welding cart?".
