Two Post Lift for Parking

Currently i am looking into parking lifts, and the only parking lifts i find are four post. I know it is highly not recommended to use a two post lift for parking. Does anyone know a company that makes a two post lift for parking specifically.

I do not have the turning radius in my garage entrance for a four post lift to work.

Any suggestions or recommendations.

You can use any of them for parking. Might be a tad hard on suspension bushings left hanging all the time but nothing I would loose excess sleep over.

I have seen adapters to lift by the tires on 2 post lifts. maybe that would suit your needs better.

It's all about suspension damage from hanging all the time. Thick head might have the answer. But could you find a way too tie the suspension in place before lifting the vehicle.

If bushing effects don't worry you, just pick any 2 poster you want. They are good for parking in that the headroom used by the lift platform is zero.

The vehicle that will be going on the lift will have no suspension sag issues. It is an off-road vehicle and generally will be above my truck while i work on it. In lieu of it being on blocks and taking up additional space.

I found that thread on here how some manufacturers say that the suspension must be loaded with weight etc, otherwise your suspension will get damaged. My vehicle is far from factory.

You would have to go with a platform lift, like this:
shopping

Mechanically, speaking, the anchors for the traditional two post lift are the bigger problem - not the car on top or it's suspension.

The anchors are not 100% reliable, which is why all 2 post lift companies will instruct to use auxiliary jack stands under them when operating. (Obviously, these can't be in place with another vehicle underneath.) When the anchors in the 2 posts have prolonged loads, (like if you were storing something at height) you are going to have a greater chance that they will pull out and have the lift tip over. (Epoxy anchors are susceptible to the creep phenomena and mechanical anchors can move - this is why we also have to regularly check the torque on them.)

I have over 10" of concrete to anchor the lifts into. I will also epoxy dowel and have a combo of mechanical fasteners. We have some grout we use for nuc plants that is amazing that i will also use for leveling.

The truck will only be on there for a few weeks at a time while i work on it, at longest a month.

As the recent survivor of a 7.5 and this mornings 7.9 earthquake, I am not stacking cars on a two post.
You won’t have the height to stack two trucks, especially a droopy one. Maybe a car would fit underneath.
