I have socket wrenches but missing various sockets. Who has the best price on full sets of sockets? Amazon seems decent on Craftsman stuff. Is there another that I should look at?

The craftsman stuff on amazon is 99.8% china
There are tons of on-line retailers and prices/promotions vary with time. Best bet is to decide on what set you want/need and simply use Google
Bang for the buck, Tekton on Amazon.

they work but design and quality pretty poor, you compare older taiwan GW to current china products and design finish and alloy feel/weight better on the taiwan
GearWrench and Craftsman Chinese-produced sockets work just as well as everything else. If they're cheap, grab 'em.

This is like telling a bicycle racer that a Huffy is just as good as the top of the line Trek. Yes, they are both bicycles and both work. That's where the similarities end

Gearwrench promo set.. full 6 point sets in 1/4" and 3/8" drive, shallow and deep, with ratchets and no junk filler - like $110 shipped.
Check page 2 for pics.

Thats an option for sure, but I’d be inclined to save some money and get the made in Taiwan Tekton vs. the Chinese made Gearwrench. I have both brands and neither are bad but for the difference and the better customer service I’d go with Tekton. Neither GW or Tekton have filler.

Is all GW made in China now? I haven’t bought any whole sets in a while.

The Gearwrench sets are made in Taiwan as well.

Hard to beat that quality for that price (compare to Snap on).

Don't forget Williams sockets on zoro.

No, the 1/4" and 3/8" sets I purchased recently are made in Taiwan.
I can confirm that. I have bought several Gearwrench ratchets and socket sets in the last year. They have all been Taiwan.
The ratcheting combination wrenches are the only thing that I am aware of that are Chinese.
some things china some taiwan, if these sets taiwan it will be printed on the retail box so confirm it before buying.
got be careful on images for GW too as some show old style deep sockets and china ones changed parallel step down depth, few people been annoyed by this .
