Thank you. That’s one of the things that made this DI system so attractive, the bypass feature. You only want to use the deionized water for the final rinse.
I will post a video to my channel once complete, these are just a few shots from this afternoons work on the cart.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects thread.
All the parts for resin columns are pretty easy to source, that bypass head is a common part. I recommend lubing the o-rings in the valves once in a while with silicone grease, they seem to stick and then the o-ring rolls and jams up. The o-rings on the inlet/outlet ports are the same size as the ones in the valve btw.
As far as resin life, regening a column isn't hard, the worst part is sourcing or building a venturi to draw the acid/caustic in. Then you're just limited to the resin's mechanical life until it gets beaten into dust and plugs your strainers.

I hope your enjoying your new coach my friend and I would love to meet up with you on the road somewhere sometime.
Also I have thought a lot about the welder and other tools- as we discussed the other night. A welder will likely be one of the sooner of the big ticket items I get as it is so useful, I am wrestling with myself on whether to get one like a MM 215 or 210MP or just single function welders. The more I consider it the difference in price between a 211 and 215 is so little that one might as well have the options.
