Hello,
So we are building a new house with a 3 car attached garage and I am going with one 18x8 door and one 10x8 door. At first the builder said that the only way to get windows in the garage door is to go with the carriage style doors which were really expensive. I actually emailed the company that contracts to do there garage doors and they said windows can be added in to any of there standard raised panel doors, which is what we will have. Do you any of you have an idea what the cost premium should be around for having windows in the top row of the garage door? The builder quoted me an extra $625 for the 18x8 and $325 for the 10x8. That seems really high to me. I tried to ask the installing company what the price difference was but they won't give pricing out because of their contract with the builder. Any input you guys have would be great.
