Anyone have experience with this impact gun? Does it ever go on sale much more than this. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-c3-189-8221-heavy-duty-impact-wrench-kit/p-00945195000P Is it good quality?

Yes... I have it. I don't turn wrenches professionally... but probably use it a couple of times a month on side jobs. I've done dozens of brake jobs with it... and I haven't run into a lug nut it couldn't get off.

I think EOC Jason posted a deal for it last week at $139. I've seen it that price before... but never cheaper.

With coupons and/or FreeCash, it could be a good deal... but it also depends if you're invested in another company's power tools/batteries/charging.

Well apparently I am blind and didn't notice it wasn't available in my area. So the IRWIN Vise Grips are out.

It drops to $139.99 for a sale or two each month... If you have points / freecash expiring you can always buy it now, keep an eye on it, then chat with customer service for a credit of the difference within 30 days...

Lowest price on their pricetracker was back in November for $125.99...

I have the regular model that's 200ft/lb, the HD one is 300ft/lb. I ended up selling the HD one since it was still NIB. It's the TTI made model that's discontinued, if you go to HD you will notice it looks the same as the Ryobi. My store still has one more on the shelf... If I ever get a decent amount of points built up I might buy it and consider selling my regular model.

Do you have access to the 50% back in points immediately after submitting an order?

I have points expiring today and would like to place 2 orders, 1 not using points to get the full 50% back and then 1 using all of my points (new and expiring ones).

Usually the minimum time is 24 hours after shipping, or placing for store pick-up. If you pick it up the same day, they won't appear until 24hrs after you ordered... But if you pick them up like a day or two later, they will appear instantly (usually).

I placed my order late Saturday evening. According to my points account, the $50 back points were deposited just after midnight, Sunday morning. I didn't do anything to request a quick deposit.

The offer details state:

"Up to $50 per Member. Points awarded next day and expire 7 days from receipt. Limit 1 time per member. Online only sold by Sears. Valid through May 4, 2018 11:59 PM CST Points earned will be added to your Shop Your Way account and can be used on your next purchase."

After placing your order, you will see the 50% back in points as "Pending" in your points history. The next day, I saw that those pending points were added to my total points balance for a ship-to-store order.

$139.99 is a common sale price, and you may be able to catch it for $125.99 at the start of a 10% off tools sale.

I think they raise it to $159.99 during offers with cashback in points, but a $20 off $150 is available on RetailMeNot (or probably even in your coupon section on the Sears or SYW website).

So it would be $159.99 - $20 = $139.99, plus $51.40 cashback in points.

Both Ryobi and Craftsman products can be traced back to One World Technologies, so you'll notice similarities with the impact wrench.

For some reason it is not giving me $51.40 in cash back but rather only $30. If it were $50 I would do it right now as I have the $20 coupon and $21 in points I need to use bringing it to $118.99 + tax. If only you could use free points and coupons together.

Yeah I do my own mechanic work on our three cars but that is all it would be used for. I have Mostly Makita battery tools and one set of Porter Cable that was a gift. But if this is cheaper that anything else I could get I could put up with another charger.

Coupons typically reduce the amount of cash back earned by a like amount... you might try removing the coupon and see if you would get the full $50 back... though, personally, I'd rather reduce the out-of-pocket spend since it's getting tougher to find items I want to use points on.

I've had it for a couple years and beat the bejeezuz out of it. Every time I go to the junk yard I'll make a few bucks taking off lug nuts @ $2 per wheel! I worked with a guy who had the SO and mine would break lose lugs that his couldn't. In fact I ran them down and his wouldn't budge them, visa versa I could break anything loose he tightened.
Paid $129 with charger and battery got back like 50 in points then waited for the brute battery to go on sale and bought a second for like 19 out of pocket.

Dunno what's going on for you... To see if it's just an issue with that one item, try taking it out of your cart, and adding this similarly-priced item instead to test what happens on it: http://www.sears.com/olympia-tools-42inch-powergrip-reg-bolt-cutter/p-00946030000P

Tried that and get the same thing. I think I might have figured out what is going on now. I purchased the Black Craftsman hydraulic stool the other day. It gave me some cashback then. That is how I have the $21 I have right now. I guess whatever I buy now is giving me just the rest of that $50 total you can get back. Would that make sense?

This is great to hear. I think I will pick one up then. Just need to figure out the best way to maximize the deal. Right now it is coming out to $119 out of pocket which seems like a pretty decent deal. Would love to figure a way to get it right at $100 though.

Now I am just being indecisive. I have the impact gun similar to this kit for about the last 10 years. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-10-p...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

So wondering if it makes more sense to just upgrade to a better air impact gun like this one or go with the battery operated version. Or the devil on my shoulder says both.

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-1-2-...ellerId=Sears&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2#

How do you check the price history for items on Sears.com? I tried searching but couldn't find anything on it.

How do you check the price history for items on Sears.com? I tried searching but couldn't find anything on it.

Go to shopyourway.com and look up the item. Then click on price tracker (It's in a box below the item). Popup box will appear, click track item. Now click on price-tracker AGAIN and it will show you a graph with prices. You can then unsubscribe from the item so you won't get an email or anything. It's not 100% accurate, it seems to miss out on some flash sales, but it gives you a good idea of prices.

As for air vs cordless... Just depends on your needs. Like the other guy going to a junk yard, kind of hard to take air tools along. I like battery powered too because I end up taking mine to friends houses to help them work on stuff. It's much more convenient just slapping in a battery than having to reel out the air hose and pump up the compressor.

As to get it down to $100 even... If you play the SYW games you can get points pretty quick, which you can combine with the other freecash deals. Only catch is the points you win are only valid for 14 days.

Appreciate the walk through on the price tracker. I saw that option but didn't realize it would give me information from history and not just from the point I activated it. Thank you.

Haven't played the games before. Will give that a shot.

I'll check my Sears orders when I get home and let you know exactly what I have in mine plus the battery

If anyone ordered just before the points back sale came online (but was being displayed on the home page) when some prices were super low it looks like you still may get your points.

I ordered another 3/4 drive set in the window when they were down to $104, got it for $99 after tax out the door. Got $40+ back in points today for the purchase manually added. At checkout it told me I only earned base points. Pretty cool. I would have gotten a full $50 back but I ordered some smalls during the sale I got the remainder of my $50 back on already.

Ah, interesting. That's the first I've heard of being able to get a second chance at the remainder of your points-back limit. Seems like the most likely explanation for what you're seeing, though it's not the way the terms claim the offer is supposed to work.

This was about the same time those LED flashlights were free with points IIRC

Anyhow I knew going in Sears wasn't probably going to be long lived and the C3 line would probably die a horrible death but they're LiIonbatteries that should last a few years at the minimum and there is a forum dedicated to replacing theses as well as converting DeWalt 18V NiCad to Li Ion as well.

Yep, when the supply of NOS batteries on eBay/etc runs out eventually, you can either replace the inner cells yourself or pay for a place like Batteries Plus to do it for you. :)

That weedeater looks like a Murray brand from the shape of the shield... They are horribly short and to use them you have to bend over at a very uncomfortable angle... So unless you are a short person you probably will want to pass... At least go to the store and hold it in your hands before deciding on purchasing...

Some of those are pretty good deals, but I find weedeaters & mowers for like $20 or less all the time at garage sales.

Very tempted to buy a weedeater for the 100% cashback in points. Only catch is it is doled out in monthly increments for a year. That might be enough to suplement my sweepstakes points and save enough to get a free $35 order once a month! If Sears can stay afloat that long...

That one says it has an extended-reach shaft, and the reviewers seem to have no complaints about the length, but boy do they have a lot of other complaints about it. The monthly points payouts might last longer than the weedeater does. ;)

Come to think of it, the last time I was in my Sears, there was a customer carrying around a used weedeater he was looking to return or replace. I didn't notice if it was that same model, though.

I'm in the market for a pressure washer... but spreading the points back out over 12 months worries me a bit.

Sears must have done some spring cleaning on their website, because many of my bookmarks now lead to:

"Temporarily unavailable"

Seems to mostly affect power tool accessories.

Sometimes that really means "permanently unavailable", but sometimes (usually months later) products in that status do eventually return (I suspect it's a matter of when Sears catches up on their bills for that vendor) - I had a few like that last fall which I took off my list, but then I stumbled across some of them having revived this spring. So don't give up on them too soon. :)

Anyone have any idea who makes these?

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-20w-led-floodlight/p-03417361000P

I picked one up in store for about $38 (before points/coupons/sp). Manager clearance. I tested and it works great.... was hoping to get another one for a reasonable price, however it seems they cleared it off the website. Might be SOL.

I don't know who made it, but this company has an identical clone in yellow, though I couldn't find if it's actually possible to buy it anywhere: https://www.alertstamping.com/products/dual-10-watt-led-flood-lights/

Thanks for that break down. Appreciate it. Seems then if I can get it for 119.99 out the door with points it is a pretty good deal. Get a bit fewer cash back back but some of that is probably from the cheaper price.

Craftsman vises aren't as good as they used to be (made in China and get some complaints), but they are on sale if anyone wants one:
http://www.sears.com/tools-hand-tools-vises/b-1021304?sbf=Brand&sbv=Craftsman
4in vise = $70 regularly, $40 sale
5in vise = $100 regularly, $60 sale
6in vise = $110 regularly, $70 sale

not a sale unless you have points. Sears is the kohls of hardware stores. All their **** is too expensive, then they get a big shipment and put it at market price with a bunch of wind sock dancing tube people to try and get you to buy it.

Take advantage of the gimmicks but I don't think this is a special value. I'm pissed at Sears in case you didn't notice..grumble..grumble.
