Lots of my trips to the junkyard end up with me empty handed. I was thinking next time I head out to the yard, I might keep my open for any cars with some factory tool kits since I find them interesting.
I have a old toyota double open end japanese wrench and a BMW west german DBE which is pretty nice and some wheel chocks from a 73 240z (hopefully I can find the car to go with it at some point
)
I know nowadays (past few decades) the vast vast majority of vehicles come only with a jack and a spare. When did companies stop including wrenches and other basic hand tools with their vehicles? Is there any models I should keep an eye open for that had particularly nice or rare tools in them?
I doubt I'll have too much luck since I bet people at the yard pull them out to sell or collectors want them for their own cars, but I enjoy poking around old cars anyway
