You did not mention taps and dies but I'm looking for a few stamped with USS and SAE to complete a set.

I am looking for early Sears sockets to complete a mixed set that I have. I have an extra Plumb style ratchet 1/2inch male square if anyone needs one.

I have quite a few Ed, what brand(s)?

Next on my to-do is my first car, bought in 1982. A 1967 Firebird.

My mom at one time had a 68 Camaro, painted in 66 Corvette yellow and black vinyl top. I think the body style was similar to your Firebird.
327 V-8 made it a real mover!

Todd, I'm also looking for Plomb / Proto Los Angeles pebble flare wrenches, these are the single ended wrenches in the 37XX series. I have the 3712 3/8" and 3728 7/8". Do you have any in that series available?

Thanks much!

I don't have any extras of those. In fact, I need a couple I believe.

The two I have came in an eBay lot of SK / SK Wayne and Lectrolite wrenches. For some reason, this particular auction consisted of no overlaps of my existing wrenches. So I snapped them up and probably paid too much doing so. I didn't give any attention to the flare wrenches until I had them in my hands. They are beautiful - if a man can call tools beautiful, that is. :lol_hitti I've been on the hunt for more ever since.

Most tools from '30-'50 are beautiful, at least to me.

Incidentally, here is a link to the engine being Dyno'd.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/pGyckLuRpzNjUBdD8

And a pic attached.

Okay you talked me into it. I’ll take the engine. :lol_hitti
Managed to check out your videos:shocking:you have more tools than all my neighbours and me put together.
I like the 455 box that has a whole other vibe to it.
Keep us posted on the GTO, especially when you mount your engine. What are you doing with the stock engine?

Thank you. It didn't have an engine when I found it.

The box however held many treasures, including stacks of "GTO," "SD-455," and "RAM AIR IV" vintage decals, still in their GM envelopes.

Todd,

Next time you're in the S-K section could you check to see if you have any plain steel 3/8" wartime extras? Specifically, a 45150 tommy bar (usually unmarked), 45110 socket (5/16), 45116 socket (1/2), and 45118 socket (9/16). They would be plain steel or phosphate coated like these.

Thanks,

Bill

I have three or four dupes, what are you missing? (Proto pebble flares.)

My gaps are big logging town tools by and large, if you have spares i’d pay postage and then some, and of course check out your want list. Needing:

Snap On TWM25 socket 25 mm 1/2 drive
Any brand, 3/4 or 1” drive sockets: 1 9/16, 1 15/16, 2 1/8
Any brand, 8 pt sockets: 7/8, 1
Proto DBE: 7/8 x 15/16, 1 3/8 x 1 1/4
Any brand, engineers wrench SOE: 1 3/16, 1 3/8, 1 9/16, 1 15/16, 1 3/4, 1 11/16

Thanks for looking, very much.

Any Easco 1/2" drive deep 12 point 3/8", 7/16", 1-3/16", or 1-1/4"?

I have some older Proto 1/2" drive deep 12 point sockets, if you're still looking for any.

I think these are the part numbers of the Easco sockets I am looking for, if it helps -

3/8" 53 3212
7/16" 53 3214
1-3/16" 53 3238
1-1/4" 53 3240

Thanks for looking if you have a chance :)

All,
This morning I packaged up all of those from whom I've received a PM. I'll reply to your PMs with the cost later.

I still need PMs from a bunch of people with addresses.

Twertsy,
No Firestone wrenches here, but would you be interested in a Firestone tape measure?

I'm looking for a Westcraft flat wrench (DOE preferred, but combo and DBE ok) in the V-groove pattern, like the Snap-on VS series. Also any wrench in that pattern EXCEPT Action, Thorsen, KAL, Dayton, Channellock, Powr-Kraft, Snap-On or Blue Grass. I already have at least one example in these eight brands.
