Spring-loaded external pliers like that open pretty wide at the handles, making for less-than-compact storage. The rubber band is kind of a nice touch, even if it is guaranteed to get lost immediately.

Very nice! They resemble the Facom palm control ratchet, are they a quick release also? Does not appear to be but........ may I ask where you got them and how much? Thanks, Enjoy![]()
^ that's a good you got on them! How do you like them, any comparison?
I didnt think I needed them until I saw them and then saw that they were green, that sealed the deal.I bought those pliers on Monday, looked really useful, but only time will tell. Plus I am a sucker for green tools.
Why I waited so long to get a oscillating tool is beyond me. I guess I never really "needed" one for a job, but this weekend I needed to cut some cedar siding to mount our new larger porch lights, and couldn't think of any other tool that would get the job done.

This past weekend, my girlfriend's car died in the Costco parking lot. Ran to harbor freight to pick up a $5 multi meter, and turns out her battery was dead. She purchased her battery from Costco about a year ago, so they replaced it free of charge. Swapped it out in the parking lot. Ended up with this deadblow, cheapo multi meter, happy girlfriend, and half a polish dog.

And now that you have it and tried it what do you think? I have an older model of that and I love it
I will preface my comments by stating I am a Bosch guy, and I haven't ever tried any other tools of this type from other brands. What I really liked about the Bosch is the easy tool change and robust tool interface. It is noted right on the box though that (I think) Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and a few others utilize the same interface. So maybe there isn't much advantage by specifically going with a Bosch?
Now onto using it. I really like the extra long cord (10ft or so?) and the bag it comes with. The tool case is a nice touch too. I see that Dewalt has a paddle switch which could be nice if it had a lock feature, as I found myself re-positioning my hands multiple times, and the on/off switch meant I didn't need to concern myself with power. Otherwise, it was really nice to use. I installed some new porch lights which had a larger base then the previous lights, and I don't know how else I would have been able to cut in the mounting plate w/o this tool. Plunged into the cedar siding with ease, and I could tell when I had cut through the siding and hit the sheeting. It tracked dead on the lines I marked, and turned out great imho.

First tool from Wera. Awesome little kit! Already ordered some bits to replace the posidrive ones that I have never encountered once in all my years. Wanted the set for a glovebox/ emergency tool kit
