Thanks for posting about the dewalt round head 3/8 ratchet.

I got a 1/4 drive version when they first came out and really like it. I think of it as a USAG ratchet in Dewalt trim. Now if they would only make a flex head version....

No pic of 'The Beast' except in the box?

Unleash the beast! :bounce:

Here it is. Nothing fancy, I just needed a bit more torque than my old Rodcraft without stepping to a 3/4 impact wrench.
I have to say they did a good design job on it.

My $1.70 purchase from HF today. The butane is from Menard's with BOGO free coupon.

Do those plier really have a rubber band on them?

Spring-loaded external pliers like that open pretty wide at the handles, making for less-than-compact storage. The rubber band is kind of a nice touch, even if it is guaranteed to get lost immediately.

It appeared to me that the rubber band was part of the tools function, like the return spring or something. I guess it is more for shipping and packing purposes. :headscrat

No, the Dewalt models are not quick release. All of them were purchased on Amazon. The first one I ordered was the 1/4" but when I got it they sent the 1/2" drive model stuffed into the 1/4" models shipping bag.
So I then ordered the 1/4 model again and received the correct one. After that I decided to get the 3/8" model to complete the family but they were never in stock for close to a year now.
I think I paid $20 for the 1/2" & 1/4" models. The 3/8" model was $27 when I purchased it but now is showing $34.99.

I bought those pliers on Monday, looked really useful, but only time will tell. Plus I am a sucker for green tools.
I didnt think I needed them until I saw them and then saw that they were green, that sealed the deal.

Why I waited so long to get a oscillating tool is beyond me. I guess I never really "needed" one for a job, but this weekend I needed to cut some cedar siding to mount our new larger porch lights, and couldn't think of any other tool that would get the job done.

And now that you have it and tried it what do you think? I have an older model of that and I love it

New Snap On crimpers. Got to put them to use as soon as they came in the mail. Very pleased with them :)

This past weekend, my girlfriend's car died in the Costco parking lot. Ran to harbor freight to pick up a $5 multi meter, and turns out her battery was dead. She purchased her battery from Costco about a year ago, so they replaced it free of charge. Swapped it out in the parking lot. Ended up with this deadblow, cheapo multi meter, happy girlfriend, and half a polish dog.

I will preface my comments by stating I am a Bosch guy, and I haven't ever tried any other tools of this type from other brands. What I really liked about the Bosch is the easy tool change and robust tool interface. It is noted right on the box though that (I think) Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and a few others utilize the same interface. So maybe there isn't much advantage by specifically going with a Bosch?

Now onto using it. I really like the extra long cord (10ft or so?) and the bag it comes with. The tool case is a nice touch too. I see that Dewalt has a paddle switch which could be nice if it had a lock feature, as I found myself re-positioning my hands multiple times, and the on/off switch meant I didn't need to concern myself with power. Otherwise, it was really nice to use. I installed some new porch lights which had a larger base then the previous lights, and I don't know how else I would have been able to cut in the mounting plate w/o this tool. Plunged into the cedar siding with ease, and I could tell when I had cut through the siding and hit the sheeting. It tracked dead on the lines I marked, and turned out great imho. :)

Finally found these at an affordable price. Been looking for about 8 months to complete my 6 point set. Now I have the metric set to go with my SAE set.

First tool from Wera. Awesome little kit! Already ordered some bits to replace the posidrive ones that I have never encountered once in all my years. Wanted the set for a glovebox/ emergency tool kit

First tool from Wera. Awesome little kit! Already ordered some bits to replace the posidrive ones that I have never encountered once in all my years. Wanted the set for a glovebox/ emergency tool kit

I have that same set and I like it a lot! I like the way it's organized and the quality especially the knurling on the sockets and the knurled disk on the ratchet, it's very inclusive in a compact design. Enjoy! :)

Here's a man whose wife hasn't discovered IKEA. May your luck hold out!

Many euro concealed hinges for cabinets are PZ for the adjustment screws. So keep them on hand if you need to adjust your kitchen cabinet hinges. Phillips will work but the Pozi will fit better and be less likely to slip and chew up the screw.
