Well, there will be a short delay in the telling of this story. It is off my truck and sitting in a warehouse a few miles away. My BIL manages the local branch of a company that uses material handling equipment. We used the forklift to get the compressor out of the bed of my truck, but there wasn't an available driver with a CDL to drive the truck with a liftgate to my house. That will happen Monday.
When I was younger I would've just manhandled that thing out of my truck. But it is 600 pounds, and I appreciate my back more now.
I hope you had them hold it for you!!!
Bill
They never asked my name or where I was from. I had called and reserved it, telling them my name. Then you called and told them about a guy from Wichita who was coming to get it. Nope. They never confirmed anything. They seemed happy that somebody was taking it off their hands.
Check to make sure the first guy put oil in the pump.
Turn the pump & motor by hand before powering on.
Check the belt tension too, maybe it was too loose from the factory?
There's oil visible in the sightglass. I haven't taken the guard off to check tension or if things turn. But aside from a fine layer of dust and shop grease, the unit seems to have seen very little use.
I questioned the staff at TSC, and the consensus there is that the buyer didn't know how to wire it up.
We will see.
RTZ: I haven't thanked you yet, but
thank you for posting this.
