What is reason (RSN) : 5 on your receipt?
Also, why didn't get the free battery? Was it not eligible?

The deal with the free starter kit was buying 2 bare tools. I do believe it is over though. I'm very bummed, as I bought 2 from the same store during the promo period. Might talk to a mgr if they can do anything for me.

Checked a few stores for the mid torque. They are all full price. If anyone has an extra they want to sell let me know thanks

Thanks, in which case the bare tool alone would be perfect for me.

However, a couple of others mentioned picking up two Sawzalls with free 9.0 battery. That would be great deal, therefore can return one of the Sawzalls, and hang onto the extended battery. Like you said, deal may have already expired. Although I picked up an M18 Combo kit less than 48 hours ago and was given a free 5.0 battery.

By the way, is the mid-torque available in 3/8" drive, or am I better off with the 1/2"
I have mostly a complete set of 1/2" impact sockets, which I use more often than 3/8", but others mentioned that a 3/8" would be otherwise more feasible. Is the only difference the size of the anvil whereas the rest of the foam factor between both 1/2" and 3/8" models same?

My local store had it on Manager's Special for $129. Not great of deal, when I pick up the same kit for similar price through online outlets. However, seeing that you were able to get the kit for $112, I wonder if its possible to get the blower-alone for much less (<$50). Unfortunately, I can't find it in that price range anywhere, thus leaving me with an extra battery. I'd rather much have the 9.0 battery than the 5.0 for this application

Picked up the Milwaukee Fuel Gen 1 Blower (2728-21) kit with the 5.0 battery and charger for 112 today. The same deal was available at multiple Home Depots in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area.

Thanks, sounds like a good deal, but did that person had to purchase two in order to get the free battery was one impact the minimum?

Also, is the reciprocating saw (2 sawzalls) with free 9ah battery still reproducible? Not sure if today was the last day

It is a 9ah starter kit. It is in the description on the line under the UPC.

I'm assuming many here are checking the inventory count at their closest stores for availability rather than buying at full price and making an adjustment elsewhere.

I hope no one has yet to be questioned by a HD associate---I'd say mix and matching payment methods is ideal in this case

Composters & rain barrels were down 50% at a couple locations the other day for me.

I tried 2 days ago with the HTIW (x2) and it didn't work.

Cashiers gave me a funny look for checking to see if the promo is still going on. Not sure why, if they knew all the promos I'd be more than happy to ask an associate, but that's how I missed getting the free 9 in the first place. I swear the first rule of their training is 'make the customer think you know what is actually going on, even if you have no idea.' Though that seems to apply to more and more places today.

I now look at their apron for how long they have been there, to give me a better idea of their HD knowledge. I have a much better chance finding my answer here on GJ.

Both parties need to look equally confused  As a customer, just play around, don't ask too many questions, let the process unravel, and when its time to insert card / chip, do it fast, sign the signature pad, and leave at once.

It takes me a while to locate clearance items, I can't always go to self-checkout. I sometimes have to resort to Customer Service, but they know if its clearance they still have to honor all other promotions associated with it, regardless

Last year I missed out on a $70 fuel nailer (bare-tool), which it came to my intuition was the lowest price it ever was going to be. Even it was open-box, still worth it.

It's probably wise to just open up a HD Credit Card in situations like this, lol

There is a promotions sheet which is printed and displayed at many of the registers. It is also available on the register under the Online Cashier Book option. If the promotion is applied automatically by the register, it will be on the sheet. There are also some on the sheet which are not automatic, such as the military discount.

I used to look at this sheet weekly as many are not advertised in the store or online.

Thanks for posting, has anyone seen the discount price on the 3/8" impact?

some promo info here.
https://www.homedepot.com/collectio...ect-M18-Kits/Family-306716566?omsid=305900048
local store had the rocket led and rover led for 149 with a free 5.0 and charger.

That's an odd deal

Everything I've seen the new Gen2 Rocket LED 2131-20 with the AC plug on it is $199 + free 5.0 battery+charger promotion

But the older Rocket LED 2130-20 does not qualify for the promotion. If you find one in stores it's either full price or on clearance for $149. But they when I tried to ring it up with the battery it did not give me the promotional price.

I see my local store has them listed as tool only for $99. Do I have to physically go to the store and see if any come with the battery?

I lost my 18v DeWalt in my recent move and will need to get a new drill and impact at some point. Would this be a good kit to start buying into? I've been getting by with my 12v Craftsman Nextec which works for little things, but leaves me wanting more when working on larger projects.
They went to $99.00. Found some with 5.0 and charger.

The gen 2 fuel blower is on sale for $99 tool only, does not come with a battery. Picked one up today. The ones with battery and charger are gen 1.

Noticed the same thing happening in my area, things I was waiting for the price to drop and disappeared before it happened and I know they were not sold.
