Yep, hogwash of the highest order. How can I have a can dated ‘41 when they allegedly weren’t invented yet? The FSN for the 5 gallon can is 42-D-1280 as can be seen in the RA PD image. Check out the markings on my new (to me) 2-1/2 gallon Blitz gas can I picked up on Saturday. Blitz is a brand name of USMC, a wartime can manufacturer.https://www.jerrycan.com/the-little-can-that-could/
Unless this is all hogwash of the highest order, it completely Negates the already disqualified
Single use
Statute
Due to the 1939 date of the statute.
It could not have been in anticipation of the Jerry can.
The designation of the numbers would be the same as I have conceded, but the article linked above dates the statute as not slightly regarding Jerry cans... Again.
We need to find the patent date if it was patentable in the USA.
