Just wanted to see if anyone had any problems with the posts of a car lift on a Race Deck floor. I've seen pics of this set up but wanted to see if there was anything I need to worry about???
Did you guys put the lift on top of the race deck? I was planning to mount the lift to the floor and put the deck around. (cut hole in tiles). Building a new house and still working out the details.

It will be a two post service lift. How thick is the race deck? 1/2" or 3/8". Im sure I can pick up some shims
No, you really shouldn't be doing that. I won't say someone hasn't done it, but it shouldn't be done. You can easily cut the tiles around the posts.
4 post lifts are not an issue for RaceDeck to have set on top. We recommend with two post lifts to mount directly to the concrete floor for a solid installation and then trim RaceDeck around it

Post some pictures once you get it all set up.. thanks

Thanks for sharing, very cool garage!![]()
Another consideration for a two-post lift is shimming the posts. A good installer will be very careful about getting the posts vertical, and about the number of shims required to do so, and not to exceed a certain shim thickness. I would recommend mounting your lift posts directly to the concrete.

My four post lift has been on a Racedeck floor for about 3 years with no problems.
this little floor scissor lifts are really great... I am going to put them in a new garage we are buildingthat is a really wicked cool setup.
