$10 off is no deal....

Well said, and the irony is that this store is hiding the super hawg and one key recip saws somewhere, presumably still in stock at clearance price according to Brickseek. Either that or the store isn’t doing the responsible thing, lol

I believe the model for the circular saw is 2730-21 though, still not a great price and no signs of dropping in price anytime soon

onekey recip has been gone for months here. throw in the towel on that.
they lose stuff all the time and milwaukee-ryobi get pulled by the milwaukee-ryobi reps too... they often forget to zero out the counts in pca here.
keep an eye out for it but dont sweat it. if you want ryobis-milwaukees just buy at .00 and rr your way to .03. sometimes you can wait til .06 on milwaukees

is anyone actually using brickseek for hd?? i havent bothered to try...i assume its just regurgitating homedepot.com info?
pretty sure you need to get on instore pca for actual clearance price and semi-accurate counts...

Spent some time around my local store and on PCA today and really not much to speak of. All the clearance tags are just a couple bucks marked down.

Milwaukee Surge compact kit was in PCA @ $125.** if you can find it. Don’t remember the **, sorry.

Thanks Mike,

How much does that Surge Hydraulic Driver cost without the battery? HD has been coupling a free battery with all of their bare tools the last few months. Its never-ending. As this is a Kit (including battery and charger) for $125, sounds like a luke warm deal, but only one store in my vicinity has its clearance price but no stock. Probably not worth it.

Anyone has any experience with the Hydraulic Driver?

Correction is was the 2731-20 (previous generation)

I can't believe there wasn't a significant discount on this one

Bare tool at HD is $150 I believe. Personally I just bought this compact kit off eBay the other day with the 15% coupon and it was $150, so if you can find it for $125 that’s pretty good IMO (I was also looking for more compact batteries.)

I used it today head to head against a standard m18 impact and it is noticeably quieter, I really like it.

$150 bare tool. I know it came in a kit because that's how I bought my first one, but never saw it any of my local HD's. I think beyond the drill/impact or promo kits, any other kits typically go to larger cities.

It's the first impact I pick up, over an M12 or M8 Fuel. Actually ended up selling the M18 impact, as I prefer the Surge. Aside from not needing hearing protection, it is a smoother impact. The Surge doesn't hit as hard, but hits longer. I think because of this, it is better when using impact rated drill bits, but that is more opinion than anything.

Not much at my local store but found a handful of these at a pretty deep discount.

Best bet on a decent saw is the 2730-20. Last priced around by me for $100. (Normally $199) I got two of them, waiting for the price to drop a bit more but even half off isn't too bad for this saw. Right hand operation too.

You think? They were $125 at one point...with a free 9.0 in the box as well! THAT was a good price!

I never saw them that low! I wish I would have but I just spent a considerable amount of time looking for the best price I could find and around $450 was the cheapest I could find one from a store online or brick and mortar. I ended up picking one up on CL for $360 brand new in the box which I was happy with the price. I'll buy another one just to have if I ever see one that low again I love mine!

Thank you! I'm going to check tonight.

Echo hedge trimmers also went .06 near me... finally, after waiting for months. I'm going to see if they made a quick drop to .03. Fingers crossed...

You have sku for this?

That's a good price on the 10" miter saw.
Compared to the other 1, yeah. The 7 1/4 is like $300 + battery & the 10" is close to the same tool price.
$430 is good because the past deals I remember were something like $500 w/ 1 or 2 batteries.
I'd rather just get the 10" bare saw if I can for under $300, but that might require buying the kit & selling the extras.
Come on 15-20% off sales!

Now the 2731-20 (7 1/4") is $111 Clearance on the website. Can be price matched bringing current in-store clearance price from $189 to $111
:headscrat

Seems a little better than the 2730-20 you scored earlier

That's right, a very good chance of it being matched in store. However, is it actually worth it? I hear the new 2732-20 has a better and more efficient motor

Gen 2 is a worthy upgrade. I should for the price of that to drop.

Unavailable online, but probably could get it matched in store.

For most, it will be fine. To take full advantage of the new motor, you need a HO battery. While typing this, I realize some will have a 6.0 to use with it, but the 12 bundled with it takes away from me enjoying using it. Weight was one reason why I stayed away from the Flexvolt line. The saw it self is ~1 lb heavier to begin with.

It doesn't sound like the are getting rid of the 6-1/2", maybe because it's oriented opposite, but I would take the older 7-1/4 over that for the cheaper/more available 7-1/4" blades. Not sure the demand, but I would have liked to see the new 7-1/4 oriented opposite, that might have got me to switch over to it.

All comes down to preference honestly. The 6 1/2 is a right hand Vs. The 7 1/4 is a left hand. It’s whatever your more comfortable using :)

Thanks, I haven't taken the time to inspect this item closer, but what was Milwaukee thinking when they designed the 2731-20? It looks like its more catered towards left-handed people, but the majority of people are right-handed

Edit: the following picture below is of the 2732-20 (what is interesting though is that the blade is technically further away from you, same setup is in the 2731-20, which is likely a good thing from a safety perspective, but may be a little cumbersome for right-handed users)

I see a lot of reviews saying that their 2731-20 circular saws failed relatively soon. Probably the reason why Milwaukee upgraded and resorted the internal designed on the 2nd gen 2732-20. A little conservative on getting a 2731-20. :)

I have had it since the summer and used it on at least a half a dozen times. Notched 40 4x4 posts with three sets of cuts for 2x4s on a 5 Ah battery and still had two bars. Lots of 2 x 4 and 2x6 cuts on a few occasions, and ripping 1" sheets of plywood. Never stalled or hesitated and with the 5 Ah it wasn't too heavy.

The 9 Ah is way too heavy for me to use it in this one, and I can't imagine anyone liking it with a 12 Ah!

$111.36

M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw (Tool-Only)

Anyone owns this can share feedback? Worth purchasing? I currently own and use a corded Dewalt Circular Saw 7-1/4" (with electric Brake)

Thanks, makes my decision split now :lol_hitti

Good thing is that my local Home Depots are reluctant to price match clearance prices. Its up to the managers. One store had 6 of these in the clearance area. Nobody seems interested. Its been over a couple of weeks and they're still there, with a price tag ending in "00"

edit, by the way this has to be an isolated problem, right?

Nice find! I went to my local HD and they had 2 left all beat up on the shelf. Marked down to $189. I have had one on order for 2 months from my local tool supplier at a price of $229.

I go to check out and it rings up $189. I ask to match the online price and they said I have to go to customer service for that. After 10 minutes of the associate talking to the manager they price matched their own online price.

I also picked up a Blower as well. Normally $149, marked down to $99. This thing works so much better than my older B&D.

Does which side the blade is on really matter too much if you are using a edge guide?

It's a personal preference thing. Depending on how you set the cut up, your saw will have either it's weight on the piece being cut off or ideally on the piece that is being kept stationary. You might change how you cut depending on the orientation. Id rather see the blade, but Milwaukee apparently doesn't want me to on their 7-1/4".

I like to see the blade too, however, for $111 I am willing to try it out. My older plug in style has blade on the right side too. Any precision cutting that I am doing will likely have a guide setup so it's irrelevant.

I picked up the first gen 7-1/4 circ with a free 9.0 for 63 bucks earlier this year at Home Depot. It was a Black Friday leftover in the overhead. I’ve cut multiple sets of deck stringers and framed out a basement with it. It doesn’t like continuous rips in PT 2x12’s. Gets warm. No biggie for me. The new one shuts off on thermal limit I believe after so many rips as well. Even with the new 12.0

The fact that you were able to get a much better deal tells me to just wait a little longer. Cheers
