I am needing a pole saw to maintain the edges of our driveway. It needs to be gas powered or battery. Any experience to draw on for ideas?
Thanks

I really enjoy our Ryobi battery pole saw. It has 2 length options, and has handled everything I've needed it to. Even if there is a gas one that would cut faster, I'd take this over that due to no smell.
Battery is on the one end, saw head on the other.
Balance is perfect and it comes with a shoulder sling in case you need to distribute a bit of the weight.
The short setting, without the extension is just about the right length for me to cut stuff on the ground without bending over to do it.
This is a huge plus for me both for ergonomics and keeping the saw and wood at a distance from me.
My hand saws and the stihl gas do not shorten enough for ground cuts to be comfortable.
Stihl kombi unit with the pole saw attachment is what I have and it’s a really nice unit. Best part is when you’re done with the saw you can take off that attachment and put on another one in less than a minute. I have the trimmer attachment and the sweeper along with the pole saw. I have one extension piece for the saw and it’ll reach 12’ no problem.

Who else makes a pole saw and sweeper?
I know these are different attachments.
I could use both of these tools, and having options for other attachments would be worth it for me if the power unit was of good enough quality to last a long time.
