finally got mine installed an operational. only used a couple of times so far but really like it. bought from Big Boys Garage Toys and had a great experience. Really communicative. Answered all my questions, followed up, always available... [emoji481]

I can see already that I will get a long hose for one side and run it up the roof to the other side so I can keep it always connected. Having the hoses on the ground and the pump at the front or rear of vehicle is a pain.

I originally thought I would move 1 post out of the way when not in use but now realize I'm just going to live with it fixed. It is heavy and even if I added wheels I would not feel comfortable tilting it. Someone mentioned lowering it onto dollies. I don't think I could do that alone and I know I needed my engine hoist to lift the columns up the first time.

Here's a pic of my first lift in my steel "quonset hut" style shop.

Looks awesome!! BBGT took great care of me too.

I'm in the middle of pouring new pads (8" 5x5 keyed into existing concrete with rebar). I probably would have been fine with the existing concrete but I wanted to use the 5/8 wej-it epoxy anchors instead of the power anchors that came with the lift and the wej-it require at least 6" of concrete. I'm just not comfortable using the power anchors :(

Thanks JohnnyK8, your blog really helped me. Now I'm off to home depot to rent a concrete mixer and finish this job...almost there...

Still working great BTW. My boy just bought this 03 Golf. We just put a magnaflow cat-back on it and have adjustable coilovers on the way.IMG_20180422_095644500.jpg

Decided to pull the trigger on a c7000 and it seems many ordered from Big Boys Garage Toys. However their website seems to be down - are they still around? Looking to order one into Southern California - any tips on vendors would be appreciated.

And also curious if anyone added wheels to theirs yet. Can’t believe you can patent wheels on lift towers!

I have that very same lift and it is installed just inside a 9' wide garage door, so I set the inside of the lift at 102" figuring if it can't go in the door, it can't get on the lift. Manufacturer recommends 48"-120" between the center of the posts.

I went with 130 outside width. I had 127 in my old place and found myself looking for a little bit more space.

Wired it up today and ran into a little snag...in the form of a loose ground for the switch. Took a while but I found it and now have perfection.

Used 3/4" wejit anchors since I don't plan on moving it.

what types of vehicles are you lifting I have a gtr and a 91 s10 and a 80 Malibu.... the 91 s10 is a drag car so it will spend the most time on the lift

I just want to make sure I nail the spacing... also how far off the wall are the columns and can you squeeze by and open doors? my new shop is 24x40 but I want to maximize floor space

Thanks!!! My posts are 130" apart from the outside edges. I never really paid much attention to the front overhang as I have about 20 feet in front of it for benches and stuff.

The one post is 3 feet from the wall

Just swapped out axles on this 1500 Gen 3 Ram 4x4 I picked up too. This hoist is excellent and to be honest..it stopped me from buying a diesel pick up I don't need because I know the hoist won't handle it.

We ripped out the trans on my boys VR6 GLI too!

And did the front end on my buddy's Mustang.

Love my new shop.

Been a while...totally forgot I was a member of this forum 😂

The lift has been working great did an auto to manual swap and a full suspension rebuild on my BMW. It's been a pleasure working on the cars with this lift.

For those wondering. Yes it'll handle the Ram 1500. NOT A DIESEL THROUGH [emoji14]d0022cf73ceb4e63d2bdb0b4207e36ba.jpg

Hi guys. First time poster. I just pulled the trigger on the C7000 as well. I’m also trying to get the post spacing correct first try. I will be lifting a 1981 z28 and 2006 Mustang GT. The manual is not helpful here. I’ve read the post should be a max 120” center to center which puts the base plate measurement outside to outside at 134”. Another manual says the base plates can be set at a max 150” outside to outside. Seller says it’s okay but I may not be able to reach the lift points of the cars. I’m thinking 120” is prolly the place to start. Any help would appreciated. Thanks.

I'm at just about 130" on the outside edges and list a 2004 mustang all the time no issues. As you cN see above I lift a full size 1500 Ram too. That takes a bit of fiddling but works great. I make sure to use under hoist stands as Dodge recommends.

150 is too wide in my opinion. I might reconsider and moving to 133 or 135 but not anytime soon.
I have lifted
Porsche 911 2000
VW Jetta GLI 2003
Ford Bronco 1984
Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 2003
Audi A6 2015
VW Passat 2015
Toyota Matrix 2005
BMW 325i 2004
BMW 750i 2018

Wow I think my buddies have to start paying rent!

I'm looking at the Triumph C 7000 lift and I want to ensure it will fit within my space.

Standing outside the garage looking at the garage door. I have 1 foot and 3" to the left of my 9' garage door and the right side is pretty much open. I'm trying to center the vehicle within the 9' door so is it possible to have the left column base plate up against the edge of the concrete? Or is that a no-no situation. Should that left column base plate be X inches away from the edge?

Would something like the picture I've attached help if I have to move the left column to be close to the edge?

That puts the anchor bolts pretty close to the edge of the slab, depending on if you have a monolithic pour or a slab poured inside a honed wall.

Check the manufacturers /retailer’s installation guidelines, which should be available online.

If not available from Triumph, look up Bendpac , Atlas, or any similar vendor.

I forgot to mention that the concrete is 6" thick. I'm guessing the later since the garage floor is below the outside footing.

I’ve had my c7000 lift for a few months now. I anchored the lift with 3/4” x 6 1/4“ red head wedge anchors. The manual says to check for tightness daily.

just Wondering how often you c7000 owners are re-torquing your anchors? Weekly etc. or before each use. Also, should they have to be re-torqued to 110 lbs?

lastly, after a few weeks of use, my lift started to groan when lifting my 1981 z28 about three quarters way up. The manufacturer said not to worry. The channels prolly need to be lubed. I’ve lubed them again and hit the channels with Wd-40. Still groans. oh! Lift is level and square. Checked and rechecked. Anyone else c7000 groan?

thanks.

I check my anchors a few times a month. I've always torqued them to 80 ft/lbs. No groaning here. Are your posts plumb to each other?

When checking your anchors are you having to re-torque to tighten to 80 lbs? They are red head anchors, correct?

My lift is level and the posts are square. Not sure why it groans.
