5 - gladiator cabinets, 1 - 5 drawer craftsman toolbox, 1 - red toolbox

Got down to $450 for everything... the gladiators will be the base of a 14’ long workbench, red ones going to be a side-car on the welding table, Black one will be stacked with another 5 - drawer I have.

I feel like this is a steal, for my purposes anyway... 14’ of workbench is a lot.

Not the "Thread Police" here, :beer:But A better thread to show what you scored is

https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=379498
This Thread is More for like, Well,

lets say you "Found a deal on craigslist?"
But, it's not a good time for you, No Money, No Room, No way to haul it, don't need it. Etc.
So you list it here, so someone else may get it!
Thanks Good Score............BTY

That’s good info, thanks! I might have just been excited about the score and really wanted to share.

It’s now been sold but a photo and price in posting is really helpful

I agree.
I recall it was $300 but I didn’t save a pic
It had a 3 horse 3 phase motor, and a power feed. The seller said it weighed approximately 2200 pounds. Yes...no typo...two thousand two hundred pounds.

Sorry guys, but it's really a moot point now isn't it? Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was like this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cincinnati...c:g:IY8AAOSw8-FacMo7:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true

what they mean is that when posting a deal like this, if you include the asking price in the comments, and an image of the ad (ideally on this server, so it doesnt go away in a year or two) it is helpful to people who come along later to see what was offered at what price. . . . . . .

I picked this up within the past month. Pretty hard to find a better price on one of these than this. It's in beautiful shape.

Larry:
You’re coming up with some great deals

Any GJ guys remotely close to Paso should scoop up that Proto box for a mere $50
(I’m 200+ miles away)

And the Baldor grinder with the matching correct stand is a screaming deal as well.
Just like you, I already have more grinders than I need. 2 classic Craftsman “block” grinders as well as a smaller Bluepoint.
But the Baldor is a superior piece of equipment.

And how. If I didn't already have a 1/3 HP Baldor, along with the required block grinders, I'd be seriously tempted to get in the car and drive the 100 miles to Sac. But it's way more grinder than I need and garage room is tight.

I like my block grinders, but you're right, the Baldor is simply at another level. That grinder plus eye shields plus stand is well over $1k new.

The proto box is another one I'm glad I'm several hundred miles away from!

Larry mentioned the “required Block Grinders” ... funny :bounce:

How many of us have a Craftsman “block” grinder AND a Wilton bullet vise, AND a Craftsman King Sealy drill press... just because of our association with Garage Journal???

What are the other touchstones of membership I am not mentioning?
(Sorry to temporarily hijack this thread)
Back to the deals...

..........................................................................................................

Here is a great deal on a table saw for $50 in Placerville CA. (Haha... I already have 2 table saws)
Looks kinda like a Rockwell or ???

It was a great deal but I have no garage space to store it nor truck/trailer/moving help to load it. Also, I've been told the combo machines aren't as good as buying dedicated individual machines for the various functions. I've never used a planer, table saw, drill press yet so I don't know the subtle details as to what to look for and what to avoid. Still, the older, heavier duty machines without all the plastic of today's models have lots of appeal.

Thanks as always Larry ... got the Wissota for $50 after three others flaked. The seller was getting rid of it because "he got a good deal on a new Ryobi". Ummmmm
