Well I guess that I will start this thread off in the similar fashion to a lot of the ones I have read through here during my "lurking" time.
I have been a long time lurker here on the journal with hopes and admirations of building myself the perfect shop. Well a few years(2015) ago I thought that dream was close to a reality when we bought a decent plot of land in Oklahoma(21.5 acres). At the time we only had enough money to build the house and I had to put the shop build on hold. Before I even had the chance to break ground on a building the company I work for made me an offer to relocate to Michigan that I could not refuse. Going into our move I knew that one thing that was a must when looking for our new Michigan home was that it had to have a shop! With my sometimes crazy and hectic work schedule and the all to common life hiccup I didn't want to chance having to put off building if the new house didn't have a shop. Great thing is......we found a place with two! One is 30 x 48 and the other is 24 x 30. Currently the smaller is filled with a few unpacked items(JUNK!) from our move as well as out boat. Now the larger of the two is kind of a weird setup as you will see from the pictures that will follow. It has 16ft side walls but the entire upstairs was used as a business in the past and is currently in more of the "man cave" configuration. About 30 x 30 of the lower level of the shop is actual work space. There is a small, what I call tool room on the back side of the shop that probably somewhere around 15 x 30 and in the front corner opposite of the work space is what the previous owner used as a workout room. It's probably around the same size as the tool room, maybe closer to 15 x 20 due to the stairs leading up stairs. Well enough of my banter and on to the pictures! (All of the exterior pictures are from the listing when we bought the place)
