My wife said UPS dropped off a package today and took a picture of it for me since I’m not home. Thanks cab037 for the socket trays. I always wanted to order these trays and never got around to order them. These will look great in my tool box. Have a Happy New Year.e68dbfc7213b8daf04646ae3e056b196.jpg

I’m not sure who my SS is but want to send them a big thank you for the gift. They must of had a peak in my toolbox and noticed my incomplete set of precision screw drivers because they hooked me up with a full set. I’ll have to guard them carefully lol. Along with that they gave me a full set of screw drivers that will come in very handy. Thank you again

Wow! I'm very happy with my gift. I received a catalog from Yogi's auto parts, 2 t-shirt that are very awsome and fit perfectly, 2 Snap on ratchet and a ton of Kobalt ratchet sockets!!! Thank you very much to my Secret Santa that is still secret from Ohio. Thanks to GJSS team to make it happens. Happy new year to everyone!

Opened my SS gift on Thursday night, immediately after its arrival. I'm STOKED at what my SS sent! This would have made for a decent weekend of tool hunting, for me:

Superslim (Made in England) 15/16" AF x 1-1/8" AF DOE
Barcalo-Buffalo 15/16" x 1" DOE
Plvmb Made in USA 3/4" combo, OD date code
Husky 14mm x 15mm DOE
Snap-On 7/16" x 1/2" VS 1416 DOE, with 1959 date code
Barcalo-Buffalo 3/8" x 7/16" 6 point DBE
VIM Tools Mr. Bit Base for 38 shanks and regular bits
And another item
No pic, as my camera is on the fritz.

Thanks again, SS, and to the GJSS elves who make this happen. Know that I created some pain for you guys this year, all of which was accidental.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Got back from a long Christmas break visiting family in UP Michigan, came back to open my Christmas present from notlob - many thanks! Lots of great vintage stuff here, Proto (one of my favorites!) odds and ends like breaker bars, a pair of adjustable wrenches, DOE wrenches, center punches, etc. Also a pair of Klein lineman's pliers, a pair of Cincinnati Tool c-clamps, and a Starrett combination square. Very nice presents! Many thanks notlob, Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I've been informed by the committee that what I thought was an Amazon shipping mistake was actually my SS gift.

The label was the same as my normal Amazon deliveries, but their wasn't a packing slip in with it. :headscrat I had 2 of these in the next Amazon box with my order that I opened and thought this one was a mistake.

Thank-you

A big thank-you and Merry Christmas goes out to egnorant!

He sent me some great gifts this year! Lots of cool stuff! I've already had a chance to put the Facom ratchets to work and they are excellent. Looking forward to trying the syrup from Jefferson Texas.

Thanks again!

Scott

Thanks to my SS, Jeff Moss.

I have never seen a long shaft nut driver before and this 5/16" long driver will get to some hose clamps that usually end up drawing blood form my hands trying to get into some tight places.
A bunch of cool stickers, a coozie, a 3/8 Craftsman ratchet, and a much needed drill index to replace the one I have that is missing the front cover.

Thanks Jeff

OK! I believe I have VERY good news!

Barring any late/lost gifts I do not believe we have anyone getting Grinched! :shocking:

One gift has not shipped due to an extended illness, but expects to in about a week.

All but 16 people have reported opening their gifts! (one of those has been deployed, so we wont see/here on that one for 6 months)

An unknown number of gifts are late (Unknown as not everyone has reported receiving their gift - 16 people on this list also, BUT not the exact same 16!) :dunno:

So while we are still waiting for all to report in, its looking VERY good to have a "clean" year!

YAYYYYY! :bounce:

Thanks BlueBomber!

BlueBomber got me a great assortment of handy stuff!

- a welding apron (well needed mine is about 15lbs it’s so full of mill oil)

- adjustable “any angle” welding magnet (a magnet I don’t actually have!) which will come in handy

- some welding pencils (can’t ever have enough!)

- a steel thickness gauge

- a really cool vintage tape measure

- an assortment of vintage 9/16 wrenches of varying brands (can’t ever have enough imo!)

Oh and by the way, they are were all indivially wrapped nicely. My wife thought I bought and wrapped myself some presents![emoji38]_hitti

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!!

Glad you like 'em, Rated ///M!

Thanks to KDoug for putting together a great gift and doing it without any help from me! He even had to overcome the statement "I've got all the tools I need" in the hints post I made!

Well thought out selection; from the state of Texas - CLINT'S TEXAS SALSA; from the local area - homemade MAYHAW jelly; and from his own back yard orchard - SAT SUM ORANGES.
For the spirit textbook of BIBLE DOCTRINE and for the soul a set of 6 FELO precision instrument screwdrivers.

A great personal letter and a new friendship!

Very glad you enjoyed your gifts. You can never have enough tools though.

Thank you to my GJSS...came from Maine...3 potential SS in Maine...

Package arrived at the office on Wednesday. So I took it home and placed it under the tree for a quick picture before my Wife disassembled the tree.

attachment.php

I opened the box and found another box inside: "FishEye Wearable Fish Camera"...and I am thinking what the heck I don't fish. So I opened it and found it was a decoy...LOL...

In the box:

3 45 degree Hairpin Cotter Pins. I am sure I will find a use for them.

2 Pairs of ear Plugs. I am half deaf from Drag Racing, Shooting and working in a Fab Shop for 40 years.

A pair of Rubber Gloves. Must be Water Jet related?

A Quick Disconnect...maybe for a Hose??? Must be Water Jet related?

A Mini Pry Bar

And a Victor Stapler...vintage 1952-1958...holds 210 Staples!!! Will look good on my old desk in the shop.

4 FN 27, I will own up to it. The earplugs are my favorite style, they have tabs so you don't have to get them all dirty. The hitch pins are the best, they make removal so much easier, it is almost mind blowing. The hose quick connect is made by Eley and they are awesome, you will have to check out their website (sorry in advance for this, you may spend some money). The stapler was the real gift, I figured I would never find a tool or gadget you didn't own, you are like me, you buy what you need or want, when you want it. My GF says it was Karma, as I am the same way and she has a hard time buying for me. I actually went full on stalker and spoke to your brother on the phone trying to figure out something you would like, the stapler fit the bill perfectly. Hope you enjoy!

Strouty the FishEye box really through me for a loop...LOL...I thought WTF...I have been on 2 fishing trips in my life...both fly ins in Canada.

The Stapler does match my office. Thank you. No 2 pieces of paper are safe anymore...it is cool...

I have a vintage Swingline Speed Stapler #4 on my desk at the house...keep it right next to an old Bible from the 1800's...I like old stuff.

The Ear Plugs...I had them in during dinner tonight. My Wife did not like that...LOL...JK. I am sure I will be using them...I'll keep them in my Truck. I have custom fitted Ear Pieces for Shooting Practice.

My Wife told me no more ear plugs at the table...I think she means it.

Now I have to ask which Brother...I will assume my partner in the business. Amazing what you can find via the web and "creeping" somebody...

FN, it was Tim, he was cool about it. The receptionist started laughing when I explained to her “that this was going to be the weirdest call she got all day”.

I don’t have my secret Santa’s screen name, but he really outdid himself! Finally home from a long week at Disney with the family, and was excited to open the most well packed box ever! Loaded inside were some Kentucky staples, BBQ Sauce, Woodford Reserve Whisky, seasoned flour and Ale8 soft drink, some anniversary blend coffee to get the day started. Then came the tools, double x pliers, thin offset microwrenches, Klein side cutting pliers, a pouch, 2 files, Klein gloves, hand towels, razor knife, Starett metal ruler and caliper, 3 different socket organizers, zip tie cutter and a set of flush cutters, ratchet repair tool, 2 snap on 65th anniversary screwdrivers, and last but not least an insulated screwdriver with tips. Blown away with your generosity, a thousand THANKS!!!

Today's mail brought another unmarked package. This time, I had been given a tracking number. I can wear it under my work shirts for a splash of color.

Thank-you to my Secret Santa

Well, my recipient still hasn’t shown what I sent so I’ll post it because I think it’s cool. I had a custom twisted toon made up for my recipient. Here’s what I sent in digital form.

Just got home from helping my family out of town and finally got a chance to open my secret santa gift and see what I got.

The knipex adjustable and automatic strippers are awesome, I really love the bit holder , the multi-use scissors will be a great addition to the tool trailer and the Armstrong wrench will be a great addition to the toolbox.

Huge thanks to my secret santa for the AWESOME gifts. Definitely looking forward to participating next year and hopefully will be able to post my gifts on schedule next year!

I forgot to take pics before we had our get together but I got some neat stuff.

a cool and unusual money clip, and some well needed woodshop supplies among other things. always cool when they research your hobbies to gift something nobody else would give.

Thanks again!!

I'm glad you like the gifts!! The vise is from the Lewis Tool Co. The maker's mark is on the back side of the base. I'd say it's probably from the early 1900's. It is a giant exposed lead screw style. They also had versions that were in between an open and closed lead screw design. They are VERY well made. I'm glad you are going to restore it. Can't wait to see it done!!!
Id like for you to pick my next lottery numbers. I got a set of sae ratcheting wrenches for Christmas, and I was missing the last 2 sizes to complete the set. Just so happens they were 13/16 and 3/4 and your wrench fit into the set perfectly fa31de46c41c29ef413f1c87818d9322.jpg

Sorry for the delay. The season and end of year has had me very busy

So my giftor was lanerover (Brent)

This was an interesting (and thoughtful) out of the box gift. Safety equipment.
Safety glasses and work gloves.
Also with a bottle opener and a couple cool vintage travel posters

I really like the airline longboat surfing the waves poster. That will get framed and go in my garage.
The gloves and glasses will go over to my shop for use

Thanks Brent

Bob

Ladies and Gents, we are ALMOST THERE!

10 left that need to post opening; of those one is possibly still in transit to Korea.

Of the remaining nine, one is either to be shipped or possibly has (illness delay) another we won't hear from till his deployment ends, 3 were reported received, (where are you guys? We want PICS!).

The remaining four had been reported as shipped, two of the recipients have been completely silent (one possibly due to his illness - it sounded pretty severe...)

Almost there! Lets please get this done as far as possible! (Only the guy being deployed should be left!)

If there are mitigating issues, please PM us!

Glad they made it okay, sorry for the delay. Totally lost track of time with work and forgot I was sending to Korea lol.
