Upper and lower box for in Pittsburg CA for $200, which by no means qualifies as deal of the year, but they do have a sh*tload of tools in them.

More than just a collection of rusty saw blades too. And perhaps a few diamonds among them, hard to say without looking around?

yeah that toolbox is also located in my area as well, nearly spit my drink out. I will give them props though, the person sent me 8 more pictures and every single drawer is filled snapon or matco tools let alont whats in the cabinet

I bought a Delta 17-965 drill press up from the restore recently. The thing is essentially brand new. The paint on the pulleys hasn't even been worn off yet. Looked like it has been in storage and maybe used twice.

So, basically they gave it away for the tax write off. There was also a nice Delta 10" table saw in similar condition that I assume the same person dropped off.

Good luck on picking that one up. Just look for cracks or welded up repairs. Crank it in and out to see of anything is bent. If you want to, it’s easy to take it apart to make it easier to lift into and out of your truck. You might be looking at close to 100 pounds.

Chalk it up to experience.
I’ve said this before on this thread... If you are looking for an excellent price for an excellent piece of equipment on C/L, you have to be patient and spend the time checking the listings several times a day. If that isn’t fun...you know...thrill of the hunt... just settle for a decent price on excellent equipment. Or a low price on inferior stuff.

Here’s a tip. Cultivate friendships with people who like to search for deals and have them email, text, or phone you when one pops up.
One of my personal best stories is the one when our mailman told my wife that there was an old vise in a dumpster a few blocks from our house. After work I went over and grabbed it.
Sure it was rusty and seized shut. But it was a Reed 31. I soaked the whole thing in Evaporust and it now sits all cleaned up and operational on a shelf in my basement “vise room”.

On this thread I have picked up deals posted here and have tipped off others to deals they have grabbed. Just don’t post a deal that you are on your way to grab asking if it’s a good price. You might get swooped by a lurker.

I saw this drill press listed on a second hand place based in Seattle, WA. The listing is a couple of days old and shows a hold, but the hold is due to expire this evening.

I wanted to see if it was worth picking up. I was having trouble finding much information on it or what folks thought about it. I've currently got a 10" Wen variable speed, but the spindle travel is relatively short on it.

What do you guys think?
