RB already summarized the answer nicely before I saw your post. But since you asked me, I will more or less give you the same answer and add some more to it.
It seems everyone no matter where they live, one way or another, have to pay their dues to Mother Nature! Now personally despite of all of this I still take the snow over
hurricanes, floods, fires, mudslides, droughts, excessive heat, earthquakes, bad air quality, tornados! So it seems over all Mother Nature is in fact too kind to those of us living in the snow belt!
Now on a more serious note, yesterday when
Smitty expresses his concern and prayers for us, the first thought after my obvious gratitude to him that came to my mind was the recollection that how many times I have had concerns and prayers for my brothers and sisters who live elsewhere in US and who are unfortunately often affected by above natural disasters.
But despite all of this
all of us are better off in life in general than 99.9% if not more of the rest of the world.
