My last Golden we had for 15 years and it seems like she trained herself. Other than a short period of chewin, we never worried about her. This one, she is a handfull. :wtf:

Those pics are great, toys, toys and more toys, laying around everywhere will keep her occupied and away from your stuff. Of Course exersize helps also
Here's my guy:thumbup: when he was a pup

I'm sold on the breed, won't have anything else. They also take work - they will challenge you A LOT for the alpha spot in the pack. Just keep reminding them that you are the ones with the opposable thumbs in the house.

edit - And if you're thinking of a GSD, I hope you don't mind dog hair tumbleweeds..:D

Andy

And when they want to go for a ride...they have their way to let :thumbup:you know!

This is my best bud finnagin. He is an 11 month old german shepherd. The day I picked him up, the breeder told me that he would be the best dog I have ever owned, and he was 100% right. This dog is smarter then some guys I work with! I try taking him with me wherever I go, he has so much personality that I hang out with him more then my friends.

Here is my crew.

We have had several dogs over the years. Three we chose, and many more than that chose us. I will never understand why people think that if they have a dog that they are tired of, all they need to do is drive out to the country and let it go to fend for itself.

Lucas (as in Lucas Oil) showed up at our front gate about five years ago scrawny, filthy, starving, and covered with flees and tics. We gave him a bath, some food and a warm bed, and he gave us his hart.
Lucas.jpg

Bruno is one that we chose. He is smart as a whip. Challenges me constantly, and is loyal as they come.
Bruno1.jpg

About a month ago, Rosie showed up in our yard. Maybe ten weeks old by the time she found us, she was probably someone's Christmas present, that was very cute until they realized that she needed to be housebroken, and trained to stop wining. She too was starving, and covered with tics. She has proven to be a fast learner, is now housebroken, and is a real joy.

Two Butts. Hmmm wonder what is in that hole?

As promised, here are pictures of the other dogs in the family.

The black Lab is Nora Charles when she was a puppy.
The shaved picture is of the Pomeranian, Travis.
The last picture shows Travis, my step-daughter Leigh and her son, Dylan.

This is Tucker, he goes to work with me every day. My workspace is an office and warehouse space where I buy and sell motorcycles. Tucker has decided he likes riding on the GoldWing I have for sale and spends 30 minutes to an hour sitting on it waiting for me to take him for a ride.

Here is my GSD buddy Moose! He is almost 4 now. He was a Police dog his first 2+ years, then he was adopted by a lady who had him for about a year, then her job changed and she had to let him go, so we adopted him from her (found her on Craigslist). Sometimes I think he is smarter than I am! He is always testing me. After a few more years of having him around, I am sure that we will come to terms.

This thread is cool. Other forums have a Hall of Fame section, If GJ had a hall of fame this one should go in there

My best Friend in the world. Everywhere I go he's attached to my hip. Unless we go for a walk. Then He's a freight Train. :lol_hitti

Got him from the GSD rescue, best thing I ever did. My girl always gets mad when I get home because I'm immediately on the floor playing with him long before I'll get up and say hi to her. :bounce:

beautiful dog
we rescued a shep mix from a local (no kill) shelter, she'd been there for over a year locked up, she had been adopted 2 times and brought back because she was too "wild" she loves being outside spend most of her time laying under an apple tree summer and winter. ive loooked out and seen her sitting and laying covered in snow just watching everything that goes on.

A few of my top notch Retriver. Not much of a garage dog but more than makes up for that on the mtn bike trails and everywhere else.

Thanks! Sometime's the pup just needs to find the right family. Sounds like you were it for yours! Yeah I love watching him through the window when he's outside. Sometimes he'll do the funniest stuff!

I give you Jett Bauer Luger Barton (like Jack Bauer) a year old reverse brindle boxer. He is my wifes dog and the best dog we could ask for.

He is not much for the garage though and more for the kitchen. We are getting another boxer from a litter kin to him. The new one will be named Chunk Norris (that's right) Parabellum Barton.

funny thing is i found a pic of her on the shelters website, and showed the wife, her reaction was "she looks mean, i dont want her" even walking through the shelter, an employee warned me serveral times not to put my hands on this dogs cage, she bites. next thing they know, i have the cage door open, and the dog is nearly sitting in my lap, we fostered her out that day, and have never considered returning her. i went back down the next week, and the look on the employee's faces was like dont tell us you're bringing her back too?
no way, she's ours now, where do i sign the odoption papers
