I just received a Koken 3/8" semi deep thin wall impact socket set (# RS13301X/9). I know where they go but what use are the included pins?

I think to hold the socket on a impact with out a ball.... like a pin.![]()

Anyone have a good source to order a nepros nbr380 ratchet? Found a few places but hoping to find better pricing and a reliable source .

Is anyone else unable to log on to amazon.co.jp with your same username and password you use for the Amazon dot com, co.uk, and de sites?
Zip tie cutters from Tsunoda. Made in Japan. Flush cutting with a notch in the jaws for grasping the tie to pull it nice and tight.

True flush cuts.Is it a true flush cut? Pics on Amazon looks like it's not, but since you have it in your hands you could verify if it is or not.
Nice feature and good size, but need to be true flush cut for me to buy it. Leaving sharp stubs on ty-raps is a hanging offence in my business!

Thats a sweet little tywrap cutter. Thanks... for putting something else on my list of want its. =-)
Alex.
My favourite destination for tool shopping in Japan, Otani Tool store, is no longer with us. It's a sad thing.

Really like the Nepros NBD12 I bought last year, so I decided to spring for its stubby sibling.

It doesn't ratchet and the shaft is fixed. I bought mine directly from Nepros.Looks nice, is it ratcheting and does the 1/4 blade come out or fixed? How much and where please?

Thanks for sharing, I like the idea of the spring C clip. They look a lot like my FACOM 467 set. Check it out and see if you agree on the appearance and finish
I have this same set and what is clear is that it is not manufactured in Japan, although the quality does not deserve any reproach, except for those measures that are missing.Oh yeah, for those who care about such things, there is no indication of COO on the wrenches, box, or packaging. I'll guess Taiwan.

For an emergency tool kit< i would't spend Koken let alone Nepros money. Besides Subarus don't break down.
I wanted something Japanese though!

I was looking to buy a 3/8" socket set in a box for my car for an emergency. Just looking for metric (Subaru) and was thinking either going Koken or Nepros. Is the Nepros really worth double the cost? Looking at Koken 3286Z vs Nepros NTB3X26AZ. The Nepros is a bit more complete with deep sockets but for the price difference it doesn't seem worth it.
On a side note, those tone ratcheting wrenches closely resemble OEM Tools ratcheting wrenches down to the spring clip in the boxed end.![]()
Vessel has started making sets for sale, the have 2 different 3/8" drive sets around the $100 mark. JDV is the US distributor for Vessel products and stocks the stuff here in the USA.
