I lost my faithful shop dog Scooter (yellow Lab) a year and a half ago. He loved hanging out in the garage with me, and was always content to just hang out all day while we were working. (and occasionally be a couch for my niece)
We now have January, (and an earlier post questioned what kind of name Kevin was for a dog? Lol, she was pre-named) who has to go everywhere with me, but is never quite content in the garage, she wants to go on an adventure. This picture was after about 2 hrs working on my boat, she was saying, "please Dad, can we go do something else now? I'm bored!"
She really is an awesome dog though, we fostered her for a local rescue, about a year before Scooter died. He had epilepsy among other health problems. One night shortly after we brought Jan into our house, Scooter had a grand mal seizure. It lasted over 2 minutes, and I was freaking out because January was fighting with me to get near him. she finally slipped her collar, and went right to him, dropped down on the floor with him and laid there with him until he came out of it. She then stayed right by his side until he came out of the post ictal stage (read groggy and disoriented) of his seizure (about 30 minutes some times) licking and comforting him. I decided that night that we were going to keep her. She continued this behavior for every seizure he had, she knew he needed her.
Dogs are Awesome, I like most dogs more than I like most people. I'm sure most of you guys understand.
