It's been a year since posting here and finished the compressor last summer. Since then i found out it was actually marketed for use on service truck. Then i had to find a service truck, it happened last august, here's the truck "survivor" 1948 chevy, with 1947 lincoln welder and the 1934 "kato" compressor.

Been a minute since I have been on here. Lots of planning for spring projects, but other than a few new display items there hasn't been much to talk about. Looking forward to getting through this winter. the last month and a half has been pretty brutal.

This a reproduction credit card sign and bracket I picked up to go on the sign pole when it goes up this spring. Its a nice well made piece, baked enamel finish and made in the USA.

At $1 a gallon, I’m now a Trek antifreeze fan. What time does the station open? Did snow have anything to do with your search for the product line.
It’s amazing the stuff you find. Kudos to you because I know it takes a lot of time searching.

Hey Joe,

Great finds as usual! Have you thought about putting together a collage of pics and sending them to the Sinclair HQ's marketing communications department? I bet they would be so flattered that you may get recognized for your effort. How goes the car projects, haven't seen any photo updates for a while.

Clarence is a loyal employee but he seems to lack that hustle needed for employee of the month honors. Dino, however, is smiling through the weather.

Have you been getting a lot of snow, or been rain, snow, rain, then a mix like us? Lots of miserable cold rain through December and January for us.

No, mostly snow, snow, snow, ice, snow for us in central Iowa. We are breaking all the records it seems.

What a journey, Glad I am slow at work. Joe, you build something truly special there.

I have been collecting signs and neon's for few years now, just bought a house with 38x28 garage that is attached to 1200 sq/f workshop, cannot wait to finish it up.

I am not sure if that question was asked and answered so if it was I am sorry but does anybody know where I can find Dino like yours shipped to Ohio :)?

I really really want one

I have been reading your thread on and off for a week now, Your station looks awesome your attention to period pieces is very cool. I am in mid Missouri and may have to take a road trip this summer just to check it out. Thanks for sharing

Best advice I can give is keep an eye on craiglist or Facebook ads from the Texas/Oklahoma areas. I see the smaller 4ft tall ones advertised quite a bit. The taller 6ft ones like I have I've only seen a couple in the last few years.

That is a cool rig. You got a thread on it or anything? I would definitely read it. Don't see to many people find a nice one and keep it original, everybody wants to hack them up.

I spent a couple hours yesterday basically rearranging about 3/4ths of all the signs in the front bay to make room for a sign pole banner and heavy cardstock sign I bought from a Nebraska auction a couple weeks ago, I was excited to get them especially the atomic blast one.

Many new additions are in the works around the station for this spring. I had been looking around for a presentable air meter. As with most everything gas station related prices for original air meters have skyrocketed and frankly I wasn't thrilled with putting an original outside. I ended up buying one of Gas Pump Heaven's reproduction air meters. Its non-functional, just for looks, but I will say it is very well made. It will be placed between the gas pumps.

That is a beautiful looking air pump.

You should set up a camera. I'm willing to bet you'll catch alot of folks trying to top off their tires with it because it looks so real. :lol_hitti

lurking through JalopyJournal, as so many times before, I came across a post about a Sinclair Gas Station needing to be saved in Perry..... this time in Georgia.

what are the chances for such a coincident?:wtf:

I have read about the Perry, GA station. There is also one in Perry, Oklahoma that is still open today. I believe it dates back to around 1937 if my memory serves me correct. I would like to thank you for the link to the thread on the HAMB. I borrowed several pics from it. :thumbup:

Some warmer weather has finally arrived. Done a little blasting on the sign pole. It cleaned up pretty well. Still need to get the ring blasted. I plan on getting my concrete guy out this week to see what its going to take to get a base poured to anchor the pole to.

A few pics of the Customline. Most all the rear trim is reinstalled along with new quarter glass and seals. Back glass is original, but it cleaned up pretty well.
