If this was cad-plated, it’s mostly worn off. Is it the right era, with the slanted font, or are you looking for the upright font? Some PO induced a slight offset on the 5/16” end.
I also have a chrome-plated C-2022 and a C-1816. And a J-1214, which is either cad or nickel.
And a No1618, I think cad (or nickel).
You want any/all of these, Don?

Thanks for the offer but Snapmom generously fixed me up with one that arrived a few minutes ago. Now my NAF set is complete.
-Don
Edit.... Actually I can use the first one in your pictures. It’s a little closer match to mine. I appreciate it. I’ll PM you.

Alas, it has been soaking in wd40, still stuck. I may have to drill out the rivets to fix it.

Oldtuleguy, try Evaporust. Let it sit for some time, then put an insert in and try to move slightly. It most likely would not move, but microcracks in rusted parts will allow more evaporust to get in. Keep repeating. It took me up to 48 hours of this activity on some tools to get them free..
Do not drill it yet...

Found these today at an estate sale I first hit on Wed. Today was 25% off. Snap-On #34 slip-joint pliers with cutter. They almost look brand new. They are 4.5" in length. Wondering if you guys know anything about them like age or how common they are, etc? Lugz has already informed me these are the vacuum grip pliers. Set me back $1.50 after the 25% discount. Thanks for any info/help!

Edit: I also found these on the Collecting Snap-on site in a 1978 catalog ad. At least the drawing looked pretty much like these. Anyone know if/when SO stopped making them? Or do they still make 'em?

Moving now after atf, unfortunately in both directions! It will reside for now in my 1925 super service set, maybe I will fix it someday.

Picked up this KR-21 yesterday at a flea in Richmond. Found in the '48 catalog. Not in the '46 or '50 and referred to as the "MechaniKits." I'm not sure the top tray is original as the color is off but it fits nicely.

Very nice. Previously known as the k21 from early 30s. Here is one in the 35 catalog.

I found several rusty shorty combos at an estate sale yesterday made in the early ‘50s. They spent the night in Evaporust and are now at least useable if not attractive. I had a few more in my regular toolbox and they completed the set.

I picked up two 1/4dr tools today, both modified, I think. The spinner seems to have had a hole driilled or enlarged in the handle, otherwise good shape. The WWII-era (G) “Midget” ratchet has been ground or filed. At first I thought “why would anyone do that?” But now I think they made a 9/32dr into a 1/4dr. I guess they were in too much of a hurry to take the plug out of the body, and wound up buggering the faceplate. Plausible?

Yeah, pretty sure it’s been ground down on two sides.

Not sure how vintage this is...a four-way I found in the garage today.

Would make a good wall hanger for someone, pretty useless to me.

Snap on universal puller, model number 66-**. made late 40s to early 60s. this one has the 66-13 legs. This puller type is hard to find. One reason is there is no snap on logo on any of the pieces, just the model numbers. I have not see one with the factory springs, or screw. I had to use a newer screw and centering screw on this one, and find some springs that could be used.

Nice job fixing it. Have you tried it? I am a sucker for the snap on puller sets. I have two I use at work.

I picked up this S-1214 (3/8 x 7/16) Blue-Point SUPREME DOE wrench at the flea market this morning. (See Pics 1 & 2.) One of those hard to read date smooshed up date codes on a small tool. 1949. Maybe 1959. It was inside the K-9 "Junior Handikit." :) (See Pics 3, 4, & 5.) Sweet little carry box made by Duplex. I am not sure when this was made. Pre-1950 logo. They were "battleship grey duco enamel" pre-war and OD green during the war. So I am guessing late 1940's. Needs some work.

Yeah, I've been wanting one for a loooooong time, snapmom, getting jealous every time someone else pops up with one. Preferably the original Duplex in OD green, or Snap-on OD green, but I was thinking of the Master Handikit size, not the "Honey, I shrunk the kids!" version. This one is quickly growing on me though. The fact that it's so well-built and so handy (not to overstate the obvious) but so small makes it special.

Picked up these 1920s Newport PA Vacuum Grip dikes this morning. Need cleaning.
Edit- after cleaning: No87 dikes. Mysterious “WB” stamped inside handle.

I am not sure when this was made. Pre-1950 logo. They were "battleship grey duco enamel" pre-war and OD green during the war. So I am guessing late 1940's.
Correction: These were "battleship grey duco enamel" from 1933 to 1937, "grey enamel" from 1938 to 1941, OD green during the war, and then "grey enamel" again from 1946 to 1948, when they were discontinued. They were never red. My box was spraybombed; it was originally grey enamel.

The Evaporust worked on the early 3/8” drive tools I found yesterday. I think they may have been purchased together since they were at the same estate sale. I couldn’t find a date code on the speeder. Here are a few before and after shots.

I found a coupe of Snappy pieces at the flea market this morning.

The early ratchet adaptor is still soaking in de-ruster, but here is the 1/4-inch stubby spinner. Octo-Grip TM-40S. 1950's.

Here is the No. 6 ratchet I found this morning. Has some stains from the rust I removed, unfortunately. Marked Snap-on and PAT. 1-30-23, a reference, as most of you know, to Joe Johnson's 1,443,413 patent.

The Evaporust worked on the early 3/8” drive tools I found yesterday. I think they may have been purchased together since they were at the same estate sale. I couldn’t find a date code on the speeder. Here are a few before and after shots.

Those look good don! I have a couple f-3s, no date codes.

Nice swap meet finds lugz. No.6 is hard to find.

ssdave generously sent me a NAF 1110-13 socket for my Navy NAF toolbox. Here it is alongside another SO NAF socket.
