That's the only one I have seen with that knurling and a crossbar hole
If this was cad-plated, it’s mostly worn off. Is it the right era, with the slanted font, or are you looking for the upright font? Some PO induced a slight offset on the 5/16” end.
I also have a chrome-plated C-2022 and a C-1816. And a J-1214, which is either cad or nickel.
And a No1618, I think cad (or nickel).
You want any/all of these, Don?
Try soaking it in atf for a few days
I have one of those too. One of my very first pickups when this addiction, er.....hobby started.Very nice. Previously known as the k21 from early 30s. Here is one in the 35 catalog.
Vacuum Grip model N5820 date 1954
Snap on universal puller, model number 66-**. made late 40s to early 60s. this one has the 66-13 legs. This puller type is hard to find. One reason is there is no snap on logo on any of the pieces, just the model numbers. I have not see one with the factory springs, or screw. I had to use a newer screw and centering screw on this one, and find some springs that could be used.
This one is quickly growing on me though. The fact that it's so well-built and so handy (not to overstate the obvious) but so small makes it special.
Nice finds. The chrome wrench might be a special by the part number. What kind of opening does it have?
Correction: These were "battleship grey duco enamel" from 1933 to 1937, "grey enamel" from 1938 to 1941, OD green during the war, and then "grey enamel" again from 1946 to 1948, when they were discontinued. They were never red. My box was spraybombed; it was originally grey enamel.I am not sure when this was made. Pre-1950 logo. They were "battleship grey duco enamel" pre-war and OD green during the war. So I am guessing late 1940's.
The Evaporust worked on the early 3/8” drive tools I found yesterday. I think they may have been purchased together since they were at the same estate sale. I couldn’t find a date code on the speeder. Here are a few before and after shots.
