I threw a last second bid on a FHLFD80AR and won it for $62 shipped! Not bad for my first 80t Snap-On ratchet. A little scuffed up, but looks good and I won't be afraid to actually use it.

I also scored a Snappy 1/4 drive bit holder for $3. I've been wanting to throw together my own 1/4 drive bit t-handle out of Snap-On parts so here are the results. Sliding T Handle, 5in Extension and the TMBS8.

Replaced the worn 20t gears in 2 of my Snap On T series 1/4 ratchets with the upgraded 30t. Definitely an improvement.

Waited a month for these...Sunflag JIS...all made in japan

OOH! Where did you get those? I have been meaning to get a JIS set, but they are all so boring and ugly next to my colorful Xcelite/Vaco collection, lol. These translucent handles would fit right in!

Wonder how many will be sold in the next 48 hours... It's under $22... will just order online... not worth hunting down a random truck at a repair shop.

^ I was about to order one along with some other stuff, but im getting a backorder/ out of stock message for the little pry bar :lol_hitti

View media item 91400I needed a pick longer than the mini pick set I have replacing a door lock actuator and these were on promo, the pry tool everyone seems to be buying, and the discontinued HS50 Quick Cutter set. I had one on my wish list for a long time, and someone here posted it was discontinued. Sure enough, it was. I texted my dealer, he didn't have any, but another dealer on the dealer-only Facebook group did. My guy got it from him and now its mine for just a few bucks more than a used one on Ebay.

Possibly. I called Snap-on and asked, they confirmed it was discontinued and there were none in any of their warehouses.

Too bad you can't get decent stuff over there.
The 61A is a nice driver.

Yep,it seems well put together and not rattley like some of these multi bit drivers. Impressive how they can make in the US and sell on Amazon for 8.99USD. Channellock would have to make this for under 2 dollars net to be on Amazon at this price level.

Let us know your thoughts after you use it a few times. My MAC guy has been trying to talk me into it, but I haven't caved yet.
I'm on the fence about these, the torque that reaches the nuts & bolts is so reduced, its frustrating. Its about on par with a good air ratchet. My advice is get a demonstration before purchase.

They've been around since the 80s and im not sure I see a purpose these days with flat head air ratchets and long ratcheting wrenches.

Snappy Dual 80 reversible ratcheting wrenches in both flavors.

Can't believe I spent this much on wrenches but I think my favorite tool is fixed (ie non-flex) reversible ratcheting wrenches.

Ordered a couple of miscellaneous Koken sockets from Japan. They are well built and have a beautiful consistent satin chrome finish on them.

Double universal joints 1/4 and 3/8 drive

21 mm in both 3/8 and 1/2 Drive, deep 14 mm 1/2 drive, all 12-point from Koken's standard line

14 mm 12 point magnetic Zeal spark plug socket

10 mm Koken Zeal short socket on left, Snap-on on right

10 mm deep Koken Zeal and Snap on

What was the wallet damage,if you don’t mind me asking.

I think it was $300 and $375 so $675 total. All NEW on eBay.

Crazy I agree but considerably cheaper than retail - mostly on the metric set which is supposed to go for a little over $500. The fractional set I saved about $40ish over the website

Snap on man dropped off my pop corn machine and a few other goodies.

Here is the popcorn machine sitting in my laundry room. Not sure where this thing will end up; it's huge! Some people may accuse me of being a tool snob...well now I'm going to be a popcorn snob. :lol_hitti

The sockets I ordered got dropped off as well. Normally a $885 set, dealer gave it to me for $480.

He also had a guy trade in an XZN/triple square bit socket set. Only the 8 had been used. Got it for $120. Figured why not right? I've come across a few on my Porsche.

Picked these up in Japan at Hodaka Pro Tool Store(A tool lover’s dream store). The Wise Super Ball Wrenches were what I was after; this is the standard size which I decided to get on my 2nd Trip. On my 1st trip i bought 2 sets of the extra long which are identical length as Wiha long. Rockwell hardness is up there close to Wiha at 59 to 61. The cheater bar is what really sells this set to me. While i was looking through the isles, I spotted these levels in clear blocks. I became fascinated but my business trip partners were rushing me so i just grabbed 2 of each.

Admittedly, if I went over someone's house and saw a big Snap On popcorn maker, I would be pretty impressed and a little jealous, and im not even really a popcorn fan!

That snap on popcorn maker reminds me a little of nike watches or taylormade hats or Carroll Shelby making chili seasoning or harley davidson making motorcycles or kawasaki making hand tools or craftsman trying to remain relevant. Some times you just need to stick to what you know!
