Nope.

The Bold Project Center is a 2 piece set. The 62" wide mobile workstation is packed inside a 42" wide locker. Neither is stocked separately.

NewAge makes Bold 30" wide locker that's ready to install and also a Bold 48" wide locker that is flat packed and easy to assemble.

Expanding the workbench to another area in the Garage. I am mixing a Bold Tool Cabinet with my Pro Series Base Cabinets, due to space restrictions (width). I really enjoy the soft close drawer slides on the PRO series Cabinets I have.

Has anyone figured out a way to make the Bold 3.0 Drawer slides SOFT CLOSE? I'm up for replacing the slides, but they appear to be very specific to the drawer on the Bold Tool Cabinet.

Hi John,

We've been exchanging a few emails over the last 24 hours and I'm getting excited to get my order finalized!

The photos here of the white/platinum Pro 3.0 series really have me questioning whether I should change to that color. They look AMAZING!

Is there such a thing as a "tall upper cabinet" in that white/platinum color? I haven't found it yet. (Gray PN is: #52015)

I've found the other part numbers I'm interested in but can't seem to locate the tall upper..... hope that's not going to be an issue. :)

Thanks!

PS. Don't let the username fool you, I moved to TX last year but signed up here when I still lived in the northeast.

NewAge brings out new items from time to time. When they do it's usually in the best selling color, which is gray. Sorry at this time they aren't making the tall wall cabinet, the sink cabinet, the 15" wide locker or the mobile 28" wide locker in Red or Platinum.

If you're interested in the Performance line of cabinets, now's the time to purchase. NewAge is not building any more Performance Plus or Performance 2.0 going forward. There's no longer stock in Gray Diamond Plate or the Blue.

John,

Do people ever use the 2-door base cabinets as a “tall upper”?

I realize they are 22” deep vs 14” of the typical uppers. Since I’m building out the lower portion of my wall anyway this might not be much of an issue for me. I can just install the uppers against the original wall to give them the proper look.

Would the underside of the base cabinets look similar to the undersides of the typical upper cabinets, or will they be more obviously “unfinished”.

Using lowers as uppers might end up exposing ugly bracketry or edges that would normally be hidden at ground level.

Thx!

Base cabinets can be stacked if needed, or mounted wherever you want. The tall wall cabinets are the same height as the base cabinets.

52002_100_Dimension01_1024x1024.jpg

With 80" tall lockers, if you line the tops of the wall cabinets with lockers, the 32 1/4" high base cabinets and the 1-1/4" worktops giving you 33-1/2" high worktop plus another 32-1/2 base cabinet as a wall cabinet. Now your at 66 inches of the 80 space and you would end up with 14 inches of space between the counter and the bottom of the base cabinet you're using as a wall cabinet. With the standard 22" wall cabinet you would have 24 inches of space between.

It doesn't look like it in this picture, but this is from the introduction of the new cabinets a couple of years ago.
View media item 81707Plus you'd bop your head every time you reach under the upper mounted base. If your like me very average the height of your line of sight is above the bottom of the base cabinet being used as a wall cabinet. You'd never see the bottom of the base as wall cabinet, but your kids might.

If you considered the mobile 28" wide locker cabinet, it's 65 inches tall and the same 28" x 22" foot print of the base cabinets. So mounting a base cabinet above the 28" locker would look pretty cool. So here's where my math skills come into play. A 65" locker with a 32-1/4 base cabinet on top gets you a 97-1/4" (8ft 1-1/4in) tall 4 door locker cabinet.

My son's garage has a 12 foot ceilings, he could go with the 6 door locker.:beer:

This is all really cool....

Is there a link to actual cabinet mechanical drawings that show box height, height of wheels (or standard feet with adjusters) and so on?

Using a lower base as an upper means that you'd end up with a sliding drawer up top instead of a fixed shelf (which could be weird, but might be cool also). It's not clear if things like the light valance would attach to the underside of the base cabinet. I need to look into that a little more...

Thanks!

I’ve actually come up with something I like...

XLSCabinetLayout.jpg

White/Platinum color doesn’t offer a tall upper cabinet so I’m using a base cab installed deeper than normal to preserve a normal setback on the uppers vs.lowers.

Send me an email and I'll send you back a quote.

The best way to purchase cabinets is by starting with a set, cause NewAge packs wall and base cabinets inside the tall locker to save on shipping. That makes sets cheaper than buying individual cabinets.

If your not interested in the tall lockers, buy the sets anyway. Once you get the cabinets up everyone else's garage will look like, you know, ****. Or should I say less than ideal. Then sell the unwanted lockers to the neighbors.

You will need a step ladder to get in those upper cabinets that are 7-9’ high.

I’ve got no problem with that.

Just want everything put away and not covered with grinding dust like they have been on my open shelves. :)

I'm rebuilding after a major house fire. After moving back in, I will most likely go with NewAge cabinets... maybe the Pro 3.0 in black.

I'm currently selecting paint colors and have decided to go with Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige (7036), for the interior of the house. I don't think this color will go very well with the black or grey cabinets. I was thinking of going with a grey similar to the attached picture.

Any color recommendations from Sherwin Williams?

NewAge no longer makes the Pro series in black. That was a Home Depot only color, you may find some remaining sets on the NewAge website.

I wanted black as well with the thicker steel The Performance Plus 2 cabinets are available in black I was turned off by the silver racing stripe only to find out this is a magnetic accent strip that could easily be removed. Same gauge steel as the Pro3, in the end I am happy with my purchase but if I had known I would have gone for the black.

BTW I called NEWAGE directly looking for the Black and none were availiable.

Tom Vermont, seen here rocking the mustache and bottle of Chianti. Another satisfied New Age Pro customer from shopstoragecabinets.com. They all arrived with matching keys too...22 of them!

Don't all NewAge cabinets have "matching Keys". Every cabinet I have uses the same Key....even the ones ordered years apart. I assumed NewAge only had one key:confused::headscrat

I see that the Bold base cabinets have a way to route electrical cords through the bottom. What are some other ways people are routing electrical and other cables to their worktops?

I'm installing a back bamboo 1x4 backslash on the back of the bamboo top; it will have 4 electrical outlets (2ea - outlet/switch combos--to turn on an off power tools) and 2ea - 20A Duplex with USB charging ...all on a GFCI protected circuit with a GFI Breaker. Also putting an electrical outlet inside the cabinet for the piped in shop vac dust collector unit. Here is my rough in...

I see some cords going down behind the counter top. Did you move the counter top forward on the cabinets away from the wall? Kinda looks like the fronts of the base cabinets line up with the tall lockers. Are the cabinets moved forward to the plane of the lockers?

hi, I am planning to install 2 pro 3.0 wall cabinets, but I need it as close as possible to the ceiling, about 1/4" or so.

I noticed they have some brackets supplied with the cabinets, but it needs about an inch to lift over and then drop the cabinet onto a lip. I am sure you know which piece I am talking about. The manual said you still need to add lag bolts with these brackets.

So my question is, is it also safe to NOT use the brackets and simply lag bolt the wall cabinet to studs?

Yes, the assembly instructions call for directly mounting the cabinets to the wall, but must screw into studs.

I think so. If you plan to load them very heavily, you could put a support under them—like a 2x2 strip or L bracket.

A quick acknowledgment from NewAge and their distributors - the product is first class. Once one gets over the mass of their product it is easy to set up and if there are any questions there is a ton of information available online.

As a side note, I received a damaged cabinet and it was replaced without any hesitation from the vendor. Really a great experience all around and I’m very happy with the final set up.

NewAge is in the process of guessing how much to add to prices in response to tariffs added to products imported from China. If you've got a plan, now's the time to make your purchase. From me.:beer::beer:

I assume the price increase would apply to Canadian orders as well since they likely get shipped from the USA before they are in Canada?
