2779 should be a double sided Chicago key.
i found this for sale for 50€ without the tools and im thinking of purchasing it for a restoration project. Can anyone tell me the model please?
Spanner, this is KRA 58. I have an older version from 1963 (KRA 58B) . Stamp and date is usually on left side left lower corner if I remember correctly.
I think if there is a number on the lock snap on can make a key. Here is my kr53. Got it cheap, but had rust holes and top hinge broken . Welded up rust holes and replaced hinge, krinkle coated it black. Still needs a lock.
It's a little touchy. Best to practice a bit with it.
Also cross-posted in the Craftsman Toolbox thread.

Replacing is probably the easy way out. Take the pawl off and then the outer nut and the barrel will come out. use that to get the right length and most any hardware store has them. Use the old pawls so they fit right.
Managed to nab these boy today for a very reasonable $40. I can't wait to get them cleaned and oiled! Has anyone had experience getting the locks replaced or remade?
Both long gone. That's why it's better to post pics or screenshots.

Does any one know where I can get a picture of the Craftsman carpenters wall chest loaded with the tools. I have one and am slowly filling it with craftsman tools. But I would like to know the correct tools and the correct time frame.
