I'm super excited. I finally got the funds and committed to purchasing the small coin G-Floor mats from Justin and Garage Flooring LLC. My garage was previously epoxied with a big box Rustoleum coating and was failing poorly. Not just the epoxy, but the actual concrete as well. Very pitted and flaking. I've patched it up with concrete resurfacer and it's been waiting to get a new covering for a few months now.

Any other prep work I need to do to the floor besides a good cleaning and sweeping of any debris prior to laying out the mat?

I'm going wall to wall and planning to put the seam running perpendicular to the cars. In other words, one mat at the FRONT of the garage, and one at the BACK, rather than side by side. Figured this will hide it better and get less traffic than running between the cars where we always travel. I'll end up with a second seam either all the way at the back, or along the side too, so the back seemed less intrusive to see.

This will not work. The seams have to run parallel to the car. How long ago did you place the order? Also please read the section on the page that says 'Justin Says'

I really appreciate your business but I want to make sure you get an install and a floor you love

Aw man...will it not work because of the layout I planned? Everything else is fine right? I placed the order this past Saturday. The change in how I install it is NOT a deal breaker, just good to know before I receive it. But if there is something else that won't work I need to know now.

I read the Justin says section...“It is important to understand what you are buying. G-Floor mats are made from PVC. They are great at protecting the garage floor. When installed over larger areas they can have expansion and contraction issues if not fully adhered. Some tires and chemicals will stain this product. Many customer’s love their G-Floor product while others find rigid garage floor tiles to be more stain resistant and less likely to have expansion and contraction issues over larger areas”

The layout is the issue. If that does not change what mats you need we should be all set. I do like to make sure my customers see that section too because its important to me that people know what they are getting.

No changes to the mats I need, I'll just turn the mats parallel to the cars. Glad I posted this, I would not have known any better.

I'm good with what I am getting. Needed something to cover the ugly mess I have and these are reasonably priced with minimal labor compared to most everything else. I've done extensive research and came down to these as the best solution for me.

So it's been about a year using these mats and I'm pretty bummed they didn't stay in place well when turning the front tires while backing into the garage.

I used an adhesive to install these and almost immediately it was apparent it didn't bind well as I was able to lift up the area by hand and it was all wet like.

Over the course of the winter it had moved after bringing my sports car back home for a quick drive and then due to the cold the mat actually cracked about 5 feet in length later in winter season. The other half of the garage looks much better but does have some bumps in it still. My plan this year was to pull the left side back out, spin it around so the cracked area is in the back of the garage (and maybe see if the seam tape I bought could fix it), then buy a new adhesive to lay it back out flat.

I found a Taylor MS+ Resolute that I am going to try come this Fall when the temps drop back down below 80's to ensure that doesn't impact the performance of the adhesive.

Taylor MS+ is a good adhesive. What did you use the first time? My only concern with the Taylor product is it is an epoxy. Speed and prep are an issue

The first time I used G-floor Pressure Sensitive Adhesive purchased on your site. Item no. Gfad1gal. I don't see it listed anymore though.

It has been replaced with the Taylor MS+ I have not added it yet because its hard to use.

My experience has been their PSA works well but that many people don't completely understand the type of adhesive it is and how it gets installed. The directions are not the best.

G-Floor is generally pretty good about standing behind their product. Emailing me pictures and a detailed description of what has gone wrong would be a very good way to get the ball rolling. I'm not the manufacturer, I don't have the warranty, but I do assist my customers where I can. I do that one on one, not in a forum. To much info and frankly to much liability for the manufacturer.
