For the first time ever I attempted PDR(paintless dent removal). I spent about 6 hours going over my 309,000 mile Honda with both rods and glue pull. Lots of respect for the pros that PDR, this must take a ton of practice and patience.

Replaced the worn out belts and idler tire on my vintage Nakamichi RX-202 Unidirectional Cassette Deck.

Those were the absolute coolest cassette decks.

With my luck, If I tried to do it, the before pics would look like a 309,000 mile Honda and the after pices would look like a 509,000 mile Honda.

I just snapped an after pic, I had to search old photos for the before. I would always takes pics in a way to minimize the dents so these are rare pics.

Just finished a project, re-purposed an old shop stool to make a stand for my Weber Smokey Joe;

CPVC swapped in, all I could source locally.

I'm calling the water heater manf tomorrow to confirm that I can swap the T&P valve from it's side location to what appears to be a plug on the top of the heater. If possible, I'll do that when I do the code work on the top of the heater next week, I'll have everything apart up there and the water off and tank (partially) drained then anyway.

eta duh that's the anode. No other port / plug. Stuck with the side valve. On to the top end upgrades, next

I cut a 11 ft 5 in hole in my shop and put a sliding door in today. I have a 12 ft roll up door next this one. I'm having a 2 post lift installed tmro . I was going to install myself but got a good deal on the lift and install

Finished painting my shutters and reinstalled on the house yesterday. I used rustoleum and thinned it with acetone to apply it with HVLP gun. Now I gotta paint the foundation to match. I will have to brush that on though

I balanced some tires, installed some wheels. Vacuumed out the one car, put the interior back together, fixed the parking brake and tried to fix the glove box latch. Sprayed the inner rear fenders with fluid film cavity wax.

Hooked up a new amazon 4k firestick to the garage TV. Ran YouTube the entire time.

Daughter helped me troubleshoot an electrical issue on the lawn tractor.

The battery seems to be draining after each run instead of charging.

Battery shows 12.9-13V when the mower is running but blades are disengaged. I'm wondering if when I have the blades running if it's dropping even lower.

Right now I'm just using a battery tender between mows to keep it charged.

I spent most of an afternoon sorting about 1000 fasteners. My son and I had mocked up a 1952 IHC pickup. It is a 4X4 and Cummins 4bta powered. When I came time to knock the truck apart, we used impacts and removed every nut and bolt and let them all fall on the floor. After sweeping the nuts and bolts up, a short ultrasonic bath and then they were set out to dry, for two years. ( read this as neglected) "Someone" had tossed a bunch of antique square nuts and bolts into the mix. they needed sorting out.

bit of vacation fun out of it.

No, I've been out of the schools since a year ago June. I had a good job at the MLB Network, but their Facilities Director got fired and when they hired the new one, he told my employer he didn't need a Site Manager anymore. I'm just plain unemployed right now.

You're not prying. When I did work in the schools I was a 12 month employee. I've applied to some schools. With a little luck I might get another school job. I haven't heard anything from any of the places I've applied, but it's only been two weeks.
