Does anyone produce an american made vise grip in current production?
https://www.malcoproducts.com/news/...-former-vise-grip-factory-in-dewitt-nebraska/There is supposed to be a new company starting production at the old facility in Dewitt, not sure how far off they are. There is a thread on here somewhere about it.
They can get off as fast as they like. It was garbage 50 years ago and still will be with the same tooling. There is supposed to be a new company starting production at the old facility in Dewitt, not sure how far off they are. There is a thread on here somewhere about it.
I doubt they are going to use the same tooling as most of that went to China with Irwin. Also, why would it take three years to simply start up a factory using the same tools that were already in place. Malco typically does things very right. That's why they are the leader in HVAC tools. I would be surprised if the new tools were duds considering the quality of the rest of their line. I just wish they would bring these to market sooner as both Milwaukee and Harbor Freight are now selling really good Taiwanese Vice Grips.
