Hello from good old Luxembourg!

Hi everyone,

my name is David and I live in beautiful Luxembourg.


At the moment I don't have a proper garage yet, but I'm planning to build a house (with a garage) in the next couple of months, so I'll be needing your assistance.

I'm doing all my work at my mother-in-law's garage with a borrowed lift.
It's a very tight fit and there's way too many cars in there, but it'll have to do for now.

As most of you seem to be from the States, I quite envy you for all the space you got, over here land is scarce and therefore very expensive, so we have to cope with a slightly smaller scale.


Anyway I'll start a thread for the "new" garage soon and am looking forward for your input and opinions.

I certainly can't complain there!

The car whose roof you can barely see in the foreground of the photo is actually my late father-in-law's Fiat Spider which she drives on a not-so-regular basis.

How cool is that? There was indeed a lot off emigration from Luxembourg to the States during that time.
There's even a Luxembourgish community in Wisconsin in a town/city called Belgium (yes that's our neighbours here in Europe, there was a mixup and the Belgian immigrants got the name Luxembourg for their town, not kidding. )

We do have some ok beer, but personally it wouldn't call 'em the best in the world. You sure you're not thinking about neighbouring Belgium?

From what I've learned, they all settled in north central Ohio. I wasn't aware of the emigration to Wisconsin. I thought that was mostly the Nordic countries.
