Bacho is made in Japan? I thought it's Taiwan.
I was saying that other ratchets have a direction change switch on the handle similar to the K+ that is posted above. Sorry should have explained better.

Any feedback on the Tsunoda cutters? How does the cutting edge hold up?
I bought a pair not long ago. Excellent design and they do cut the ty wraps flush as advertised.
Haven't used them long enough to comment on longevity. I think they are rated for soft wire also so that would be a good sign that the edges aren't real soft. I have used and will use mine on plastic/nylon only.
The other K+ with the tag in the picture shows made in Taiwan. Just because you bought it in Japan doesn't mean made in Japan. I've never seen or heard of K+ so I don't know for sure.
I do like the looks of yours with the slim head and reverse in the handle though. How smooth are the teeth in it and how high is the back drag?
Any feedback on the Tsunoda cutters? How does the cutting edge hold up? I'm not familiar with brand. I definitely don't "need" them since I got 2 pairs of $160 carbide tipped medical grade Swanstrom flush cutters for $19--haha! BUT I'm a sucker for good designs and this cutter looks interesting.
I picked up a K+gear ratchet at a random home store in Japan a few years ago and love it. Was hoping you guys might be able to help me track down more. It’s got a 90 tooth gear and is substantially smaller than even my nepros! It’s also unique in the direction switch is located back on the grip.
Here's a link to the Japanese home center, called Komeri (1193 stores in Japan). They have them in the 3 common drive sizes: https://www.komeri.com/disp/CSfDispListPage_001.jsp?q=%82j%81%7B%82f%82d%82%60%82q%81%40%83X%83%8A%83%80%83%89%83%60%83F%83b%83g%83n%83%93%83h%83%8B&dispNo=&codeSearch=0&searchFirst=1&searc01.x=0&searc01.y=0

You got me, just ordered it.
Hi,
I read your review on these. So they are rated to cut 10AWG as well? How would they stand up to 23ga pins from pinners (nailers). I don't know the hardness of the pins.
Seth

Tsunoda spec it to be able to deal with 5.5mm2 stranded copper wire, which as far as I remember is 10AWG.
I'd be interested to know how they fare with regular use on 23ga pins - Tsunoda's end cutting nippers are rated up to 64HRC, though, rather than the 56 to 62 of the KBN-150 so I suspect you'd get longer life out of a tool like that.
Hope you like it! I have been quite impressed by all of the Tsunoda stuff I have acquired so far, it has all held up to repeated use quite well. I should do some more write-ups of the other stuff I have.
Are the end cutting nippers flush cut? Plenty of things will cut 23ga pins but I have yet to find one that is flush cut and rated for it. I've been wanting something to flush cut pins a for a few years. Every once in a while I have one that doesn't go right and is in a difficult location. Cut with what ever and then use a nail set works, but not as good as a flush cut.
Seeing that the Tsunoda actually has a wire ga rating I am thinking maybe it can handle the very thin pins.

Send me one of those swanstrom pliers and I’ll tell you all about the tsunoda cutters [emoji41]
Metric Tech
Weird how the 11 finish doesn't match the rest.

Chrome Molybdenum is hands down the tougher metal for everyday use, but when you get into alloys like the chrome vanadium molybdenum wiha uses or the spring steel chrome vanadium alloy Pb Swiss uses it changes the properties, ex. it might wear more but be less brittle or visa versa, making it more suitable for their application
Just picked up some sockets from Flash tools (fpc) they are cr-mo as well. Made in Japan and does the date stamp on every socket like Koken, same format. Overall I’m impressed and like the locking rail they came on. Here’s my home set of the tsunoda cutters everyone is talking about. I post some 3.Peaks dual edge cutters on here a couple weeks ago and I like the 3.Peaks better for zip ties myself. If anyone is getting into the pliers made in Japan Do Not forget to look for 3.Peaks, Fujiya, Merry (Muromoto Tekko), IPS, King TTC (tsunoda), Keiba, engineer (vampliers) and even KTC. I have pairs from all of those and 3.Peaks always has the smoothest action IMO

Made 20 cuts with them today. Holy ****, these things are great!Hope you like it! I have been quite impressed by all of the Tsunoda stuff I have acquired so far, it has all held up to repeated use quite well. I should do some more write-ups of the other stuff I have.

my latest catch...
This is one I'm sure you guys have seen before but I got my hands on a TD-6310HX recently and have found it to be stellar:
Great stuff. Really like the look of the Ko-ken breaker bars. I haven't seen Hans tools before. Look to be the same screwdriver handles as Toptul.
Great review and picsVery interesting.

And I thought I was bad with my weekly $200+ orders. I’m glad I’m not alone in this addiction [emoji6]. I tell my wife I won’t say anything about her high end makeup orders if she doesn’t say anything about my high end tool orders, so we got an agreement! Lol

Found this with my dads old tools. It’s a Fujiya linesman/combination pliers from the early 80’s. He even put his initials in Japanese (I’m Japanese)
Just put it on the wire wheel for a little and they look brand new!
