I bought my house from a retired Buick salesman.
I'll get a pic or the Opel stuff out in the garage , too.
The pat last one is the style we used to know as "welder's cap". Is that a common term?

Vintage 1950's 'Fred's Auto Service' Mobil Gas Station attendant shirt.

I bought this for my wife because her dad's name was Fred and it fit her. Someone actually asked her once if her name was 'Bob' because of the name on the front pocket.

I'm playing catch-up, guys...

I keep road maps appropriate to the years of my old cars in their glove boxes.
That's a nifty idea, Stuart. Post a legend and a section of one of your favorites.

Next is my new in package curb feelers.
You don't see those every day! (Now replaced by passive IR...)

I need the white fluffy cat with the turn signal eyes
First one on the thread wins a prize to be determined later. :)

It was in my part of Pennsyltucky, which was dotted with tool & die shops and machines shops.

Vintage 1950's 'Fred's Auto Service' Mobil Gas Station attendant shirt.
I found a very cool Esso shirt a few years ago, but it didn't fit. Too small.

Keep 'em coming, guys.

A couple vintage Texaco advertising bottle caps.

The square black box with a gas gauge is a coin bank. The red needle was on 'FULL' up until yesterday. Then the wife discovered it. Notice the gauge now reads 'E' for EMPTY!

Here are a few items from the glove compartment of my Jeep, not necessarily military. My light bulb box is the same as lardy1 posted upthread.

I have a Pa. 1931 driver's license that was my father's. What is interesting is his address(he was a civilian surveyor for the Army Corps of Engineers). The address was survey boat #2, Rochester Pa. Rochester Pa. was were the boat was docked. It is also interesting to note that the license is just a paper license.

I like the idea of making up miniature props to go with the models. I've been trying to acquire the kits I once had as a kid and build them again. So far I've only finished one.
Anyway, here's another accessory found a few years ago but not yet installed.

Motorman, my grandmother had one of those ashtrays when I was a tyke....used to love seeing it at her place, but she wasn't a smoker. Now I wonder what the rest of the story was?

Will pull together some pics shortly, when I'm not covered with trick-or-treaters.

Hmmm. I'm no expert, and the photo doesn't show it very well, but there's worn silver colored haze just below the collar that I thought must be the remnants of the chrome plating.

I’ll wander with ya, I see the same on mine in the right light. Good for bud wheels.

Subscribed. I'll post some stuff Monday. I sold off most of my old auto accessories but still have a few items sitting on the garage shelf.

Great idea for a topic OP!!!!!

Even I can do that math (17.5 cents per gallon!)

Awesome piece of automobilia, Mm55.

Guys,

I said I didn't really want to bog this thread down with wrenches, since we have a GJ thread for auto kit type sets (see Index in Sticky), and if we go down that road I fear the other true paraphernalia will soon get squeezed out, and I meant it, but I will post a notice for a very accessories-pertinent thread I just posted on a Howard Zink Corporation Dandee Kit. If you're not familiar with the Howard Zink name (neither was I!), they made custom radiator covers for early Brass Era cars, and today, the company, still in the same facility, is known as LeBra! :)

It's quite a story. Link here.
