You guys are no fun sometimes!
Five or ten years ago I would have been bummed out with clothes, now it's most of my list. Kind of hard to ask for "everything under 35 dollars that comes up when you search 'snapon 3/8' on ebay"
Chamois/Flannel shirts are alway appreciated. That's all I wear from mid October to mid April.
Same with jeans, I've yet to find a pair that doesn't wear through above the cuff, blow out the crotch, or otherwise tear or fail within 6 months to a year, and I rotate ~5 pairs a week.
Colored t shirts are on my list. It's dumb to me to wear graphic tees (which is most of my wardrobe, either charity, promotional, or brand t shirts) under a sweater or other layer, but I don't want to wear white t shirts either.
My dad always tries to find me tools I need but I've gotten to the point where I have most of what I need. If he asks me this year I'll just give him the snap on part number searches I have saved on ebay, lol. I borrowed a snap on 3/8 torque wrench the other day that was 5 to something like 150 or 200 in-lbs the other day. It said QJR-217 and "series B" but i've yet to see one for sale. If I find one pop up on ebay for under a hundred bucks I'll ask for that. My gearwrench one didn't go low enough to do the injector clamps on my truck.
As for gifts for other people, I'm going to get my dad some Cole Haan plain toe oxfords. I have a couple pairs of the originalgrand shoes (when I bought them they were lunargrand) and I love them and he's expressed interest in a pair. He likes to wear leather shoes to work but he's out walking around a lot and most of the other shoes he has either hurt his feet or are ugly (his thoughts) so I'm ordering him a pair of these because they have a nike running show sole, but are a classic plain toe oxford. They also have more elaborate ones but he wears jeans and a polo to work so wingips or any other brogues wouldn't work.
I'm still trying to figure out what to get my mom. She told me she wanted gym clothes but there's no fun in just getting her what she asked for, I gotta get something else. I'm thinking I steal her laptop and look in her amazon or williams sonoma browsing history for baking tools, she loves to bake and loves elaborate pans and other implements, same as I do with shop tools lol. She's not big on cooking, I do most of the dinners in the house, but she loves to bake sweets and treats for fun.
OP I hope you find something to ask for out of here lol. When in doubt, more tool storage is always a great gift. It seems I run out of space every single time I buy another tool box.
