New Channellock Speedgrip pliers

Just saw these in a magazine today but I can’t find anyone actually selling them yet. Let me know what you find.

I don't know what Channellock is trying to do. There are Knipex knockoffs that have more than just the push button adjustment. And even then, the Channellock adjustment mechanism looks as bad as the Irwin one.

They're trying to fill a niche. Basically Knipex plier wrenches with teeth.

Exactly. These are Almost exactly the same but for the teeth/grooves. I have the 002006US2 set and can’t see how these can be any better or different.

Hope they offer a smoot jaw version. Would be nice for when working on brass fittings.

I've got some. I prefer regular ChannelLocks. The button only depresses about 1/32 of an inch and the adjustment mech is kinda flaky. Grips aren't as good as the original either.

They been trying to out do themselves and come up with something better than the 500 series. Nothing has been as good. I been using 440 so long nothing else feels right.

I have a pair I haven't used much, the 10" I mostly use it on spring clamps which it holds onto better than standard channellocks. I would prefer dipped grips but they aren't bad other than being a bit bulky

A friend of mine at work has a pair and sometimes the adjustments skips when clamping really hard. I'm not a big fan of cross-hatched jaws on that style of pliers. I use them mostly for holding rounds and properly designed jaws lock round objects.

I said 500 series, meant 400 but,,,,,,,,,,,,, I never had an improved one I like better than the 440. I like straight jaw and bet money I would trade 2 new ones for 1 original.

There might be something better than the 440, there might be something better than the 9 Klein and 10R Vise grip but after using some of these exact same models for decades the others dont feel right. 1000's of uses with these and learning to master them its a distraction not to have the same one and they are predictable, know what it will do.
