I could swear Ive seen a tool over the years (not the airlift coolant refiller) that puts a vacuum on a cooling system, And (supposedly) allows you to pull a lower hose or etc off of an engine without coolant spilling all over you.
Granted, The concept seems like it would be flawed and if the pressures weren't right, Youd be unexpectedly taking a bath in coolant... But I thought I had seen it in tool catalogs.. And now Im trying to find it and Cant.
