They should be decent, featuring less noise and better ergonomics than your average die grinder. Mac tools has their own identical looking version of those made in Taiwan die grinders, so they can't be that bad.

I have the onyx 204, use it professionally. I love it and havent found a fault with it yet. Spins fasssst and the adjustable exhaust direction is sweet.

I need to pick up a die grinder and cut off tool myself. Been debating between AP and Aircat for my uses. In my case it will be used in an industrial farm work environment rather than home gaming, but not really often enough for me to justify the higher cost of Snap-on, Sioux, and the other premium air tool lines.

While I have nothing relevant to add to this thread, I am posting in order to remember to check back in once there are a few more folks with experience posting their likes and dislikes.

They pretty good, don't waste money on big brands like snapon for air tools, most of the best in modern quality/value and innovation is taiwan or japan .
astro or aircat offer good tools or look more direct to oem/brands like kuani, airboss, act, tora king, m7 ...

Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

The Onyx line is very good, powerful and quiet and low vibration and the body plastic doesn't get too cold either.

Yes composite nice winter time, don't really seem feel less vibrations but more comfortable over cold alloy .
Astro 2pc and carbide burrs is about 100bucks, just the 2 grinders 80 bucks and individually 50 bucks .
Will have to have a hunt for the astro set with carbide burrs for best deal as probably better buy over the carlyle as I really do like the onyx grinders .

Another reference point: I use (bought) these at work for fab and repair. Far from daily use, haven't had any trouble with them. Have put some pretty rough use on them some days where I should have used a milling machine but only had carbide burrs.

I've got a 210QL for about 3 years now. Great tool. Swivel throttle and quick lock are nice.

Has anyone purchased anything from them? If you have, how did it go.

According to https://www.scamvoid.net/check/pixslamarket.com/

The domain name was created only 1 month ago.

I’m wondering the same thing. Ordered die grinder a week ago, instantly received a verification email stating when pay pal authorizes payment they will ship. PayPal authorization came moments later. No additional communication from the seller, no phone number and no response to emails. I’ll give them a few more days

I will report back here with news, positive or no

Those look good but I like right angle for most cut off. These are my farmer picks, the 4 inch is brutal tuff. Never even had a screw loose on one.
I like them as good or better than the "brand" units which used to cost hundreds, when they wore or broke parts were hard to deal wit and often got a sol story,,,, same with some precision instruments, , the low cost is a bonus as a guy can afford a couple. I should have got another couple straight in the pic,,,, so much easier than repairs to other units.
I should get a small ra to run scotchbrite just never did as I had something else to ran them straight a couple times but I use 4 inch wire for most engine parts type stuff, so much faster.

site wouldn't accept my credit card due to some security settings they used. Tried contacting them via email with no response. Used PayPal but nothing processed yet. A week now

Starting to lose faith in the Great Price they offer

Look at the email address at the bottom of that pixsla website. Ever see a legit website where their contact email is a different domain than the website? Huge red flag there. No business address, no telephone number either. There are plenty of websites that sell Astro, and if the price is too good to be true....you know the rest.

A week ago, I wrote that everyone seem to want about $120 for the Astro-Pneumatic 219 kit.
Today, everyone (Amazon, Wal-mart, Home Depot) wants about $113.
Considering you get 2 die grinders and 8 carbide double cut burrs, even $120 is a terrific price.

Was in HF today and they want $80 for 4 carbide double cut burrs.

OK
Sorry for the late response, I’ve been out of town til today

Reporting in on Pixsla site experience. Ordered on February 24, no additional communication after initial “thanks for your order” email which came immediately. They are unresponsive to emails, my account shows the order is “Processing” with no change since 2/24

I call ******** on this company.

Ordered today from a known supplier for $114. If the set from Pixsla ever comes it will show up here for sale. Can’t wait for ever

Your order ever arrive?

done a charge back via credit card company, apparently the setup with same email etc used in a few scam sites .
If you used paypal, do a complaint through them for a refund .
Spent extra 40bucks get it via better source .

If any of you guys are on a budget and don't use these tools enough to pay a premium:

Woot has been running an IR Edge angle die grinder for $34.99 regularly, they are out now, these are "new returns".
https://tools.woot.com/offers/ingersoll-rand-1-4-angle-die-grinder?ref=w_cnt_lnd_cat_tool_4_25

Some Lowe's store have had a Kobalt 3" cutoff on clearance, in store only.
This one: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-3-in-Cut-Off-Tool/1000404895

The clearance price is $23.59, I got one at the Alexandria, VA store on Monday. They were not on the clearance racks, they were in their regular place in the tool section with a little yellow clearance price tag.

Anyway might save somebody a few bucks. Or cost a few if it pushes them off the fence to buy, which seems to be a purpose of GJ in any event.

Still no response from Pixsla. Has shown “pending” since 2/24.

I received my second order from an Amazon dealer and the quality of the grinders seems to be very good. Put both to the test today and they run smoothly with decent power. Made in Taiwan.

Doubt I’ll ever see the $70 set but if it ever comes I’ll let you guys know with a “For Sale” post
