Does anyone know of any company that makes or has made metric sockets longer than 50mm in 1/4" drive?
Yes, Snap On do. I think they only offer a couple of sizes though (one is 10mm).
vim makes an 8-14mm set that skips 9 and 13mm, they're around 4" in length. I think i paid $50 for them. Pretty sure matco sells a similar set, too.

I think they would be a a bit too long. Around 60mm long should do it, anything over 80mm, I think I would have clearance problems.
A ~50mm long socket + Snap on TMX1 extension should be under 80mm. I can get a measurement if you think it'll work.
Or if it's got to be all socket a cut and weld on the VIM might be your best option.

I am looking for 12mm, but don't see anything in 1/4" longer than 50mm on the Snap On website?
For anything a bit ‘non-standard’ I tend to think KoKen, but they only offer 3/8 drive.
Huh. All this time I thought they were 1/4", but looking them up I see you are clearly correct!
