Yes, Snap On do. I think they only offer a couple of sizes though (one is 10mm). They’re intended for bumper (fender?) bolts.

For anything a bit ‘non-standard’ I tend to think KoKen, but they only offer 3/8 drive.

Sounds like you have a very specific problem!

VIM makes an 8-14mm set that skips 9 and 13mm, they're around 4" in length. I think I paid $50 for them. Pretty sure Matco sells a similar set, too.

I think they would be a a bit too long. Around 60mm long should do it, anything over 80mm, I think I would have clearance problems.

A ~50mm long socket + Snap on TMX1 extension should be under 80mm. I can get a measurement if you think it'll work.

Or if it's got to be all socket a cut and weld on the VIM might be your best option.

this. i have made more than one extra long socket. the trick becomes how deep you need the hex broached and if you need a stop on it. no fun if you run a nut off and it gets "trapped" in the socket between the broach and the open area you add.

it a good use for the extra odd sockets one has laying around. if you have access to a chop saw, some scrap iron, a welder and a grinder one can be hammered out in short order. finish it off with some red paint to prevent loss.

Maybe you could use a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter or 3/8" to 1/4" adapter depending on your ratchet/socket setup with a standard deep well. They usually add around 1/2" (call it 12-13mm), and could still allow you to insert into a hole through the bumper beam to access the bolt head. That would put you right about where you need to be.

Huh. All this time I thought they were 1/4", but looking them up I see you are clearly correct!

Yes, it’s a shame!

Generally, if I want anything that’s slightly non standard, like an external Torx, deep, universal socket, I go straight for KoKen, but even they don’t offer this!

O.P. Would a conventional box spanner work for you?
