Any opinions on value on this compressor
It has a 5hp baldor motor, 80 gal tank and as stated in the description a Wayne/dresser/Le roi pump.
Guy will not say if we can test or not.
Seems like it has been outside some. From picture looks like he has it tarped. He will not answer for how long.
He replaced it with a screw compressor for his "bed liner machine".
He says it works great no problems.
What would you say it's worth if I can test and if not.
I would say if I could get it for 500 I would be happy, but also if it indeed worked great for the asking price I think that would be fair.
Thank you for your input.

Won't say if you can test it, won't say how long it's been outside, but still claims it works great, no problem. Yeah, it's a parts machine. And I wouldn't trust the old tank until it is tested. So basically how much is an old electric motor and compressor head that you can't test worth to you? That's how much you offer him.

Ok, thanks everyone for talking me out of that one. FYI i am now in the Northwest Indiana Area so pickings are a bit thinner unless i want to drive to chicago.
Onto another one.
I think that this may be a better option. But would require new Single phase motors. I could honestly use one pump head with a 5hp and be happy.

From Ad:
Older dual pump Quincy Compressor. Working take out from Machine Shop. 220/440 3 phase motors.

Asking price is $450, i asked if they were flexible on price mentioning the fact that i would need to buy motors and that gets expensive and they said they were.So i am guessing i could get it for like 300$ maybe less the ad has been up for at least a couple month IIRC.

I believe the 2hp motors are small for this size head, although info is hard to come by since from talking to a quincy distributor it is from 1966 though he said parts are available. I believe to run at max capacity would require a 5-7.5hp motor and obviously a different sheave. I would probably only run one head. My dad has an IR two stage from the late 80's that puts out about 18CFM IIRC so that is what i am targeting for output as i was never disappointed.

Please let me know what you think, i appreciate your time everybody. Also if anyone has info on this pump let me know
