From Zoro with a coupon. A little pricey but they're USA-made and I needed the larger sizes more than anything. Only used them on two jobs so far but the spline box ends actually work.

You won't regret them, they feel nice in the hands too. I bought them from Zoro, but back when they had 30% off coupons, got the metric set too. :)

I have gearwrench, SK X-Frames, a few wera ratcheting wrenches, and the Proto USA made ratcheting wrenches. The proto are the only ones that have ever locked up on me, and its been in very low torque situations when they were practically brand new.

They've been a disappointing wrench to me, especially as I went out of the way to spend quite a bit more for a USA made ratcheting wrench. Hope your experience differs.

I recorded the unboxing due to the value of the wrenches and when I first tested the ratcheting ends, the levers on the 22mm and 24mm would not change direction. I had to work the lever and turn the ring at the same time repeatedly to free them up. They work fine now but I'm keeping an eye on them. I'm pretty sure they're taiwanese mechanisms in an American forging.

The wera has too much novelty going on for my taste but seems to work on in the very little use I've given it.

X-frames have been great other than they're not offset, and sometimes you need an offset, and other times you need that flat wrench like an x-frame.

Finally pulled the trigger on the big boy and a orange soft grip for the 1/4 to replace the hard blue handle.

Nice set! I ended up going with Felo but I have also been wanting to get a Wera set. I think I have a problem.

I have FELO, WERA, VESSEL, XCELITE and SK Softgrip. Various sets, screwdrivers, torx drivers, nut drivers, and hex drivers. The thing about screwdriver type tools is the cost is not bad so you can afford to experiment and collect. I may add some PB Swiss jut to see what all the fuss is about. And some WIHA precision drivers.

Wera. Feels the best in my hand. Easiest to grip, hold onto, spin without fatigue. Holds the fastener the best too. I prefer the laser cut tips.

I have several of all the other brands... I actively seek out Wera for my toolbox solutions. I probably have several hundred screwdrivers in my garage...

Hopefully these brass Gorilla Easy Connect for the garden hose last longer than the cheap Aluminum ones form Lowe’s.

That is neat! Do they work well? Where can I find more information/source?
Thanks.

They work great. Two things in particular make them pretty awesome; the knob part allows you to rotate the shaft/jaws and the ratcheting lever can be swung out of the way or into position to grab and hold.

Eg:

Grasperforceps5.jpg

They are Laparoscopy graspers; normally used for surgeries, so they are very precise and grip strong.

Normally these sort of graspers are $2000+ from the US/European companies; but there is a whole industry in India making these laparoscopy graspers for the third world for under $100. These are the ones I ordered:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Laparoscopi...var=413894774492&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Shipped to Canada via DHL; expect to pay ~$20-30 duties.

Got me a Trusty-Cook Model 4

It came in with only 6 feet left in my stupid long landscaping project, but I’m glad to have it.

well I finally got my order from Shar's in today, been over 3 weeks since they said it was sent out. And this was my 2nd order really because the 1st chuck was bad I had to send it back. So I added a bunch more little niceties to the order. I still think they got over on me on the shipping, but the new chucks and other tools are here so I am happy for today. Hope I get time to install the new keyless chuck tomorrow.
